Once again I have NJA on Monday morning. This is just the way I wanted to start off my week, not!!! CCM says tell her and then either come back on later at NIGHT or she'll add other accounts. I've accepted that wonderful offer before and kicked myself for doing it. I'd rather take the time off unpaid than sit at my computer reading profiles all day long and getting half my lines in. I'll never understand why this company can't keep the workload on a steady flow. Are they really that inept at scheduling? I thought they required at least a BA to be in any of the higher up, nonworker bee, positions. I guess this is a prime example of how getting to big and too greedy can really mess up things.

Sorry for the negative post, but I had to vent to somebody.

I'm in the cesspool today. - Monday it is.

Last week I had NJA for 3/5 days. Today I have some work, but it's all cesspool. Haven't seen my primary account yet today, and not sure I will.

Most of the accounts I'm getting I have never worked on before, so it's really slowing me down.

It way it bother me though because I HAD - to change my schedule!!!!

It really ticks me off. I had to change my schedule to get my primary and secondary 2-1/2 years ago. I HATE WORKING LATE IN THE EVENING!!! HATE IT!!! My family does not like it either. I hardly get to eat dinner with them or help do homework or listen to my husband tell me about his work for that day because I am typing away.

For the last month, I HAVE HAD NO PRIMARY OR SECONDARY. Too many people seem to have popped on and taking my work away. IT SUCKS!!!! So again, EXPLAIN TO ME WHY I HAVE TO WORK STILL IN THE EVENINGS IF I AM NOT GETTING MY PRIMARY, SECONDARY and instead, getting other unfamiliar accounts or better yet, NO JOBS AVAILABLE!!! Dang!!

See how ticked off I am? I do not even make sense!! - Hahahaha. Meant to say!

I have had to do every hospital in the BOB for the past 2-1/2 years and it SUCKS... Then, I had to change my schedule twice because there was no work, even though I do every hospital. It does not make any sense.

I also hate working in the evenings and refuse. If they cannot give you work during your schedule, file for unemployment and get the TAA benefits, take the only present the Q is going to give ya.

In the meantime, my primary is threatening to not sign their upcoming contract unless we get back in TAT. We were in TAT until a couple of months ago and at the same time never ran out of work, AKA perfect staffing. Then MQ gives our group 2 more hospitals, but not more staff. Now we have been floundering with a massive backlog and OT every weekend which doesn't help. All that the head monkeys need to do is take a couple NJA people and permanently move them, I'm sure they won't mind. If that is not enough, then add another until things are balanced. NOT that difficult. I used to be in charge of work distribution in-house and all they need to do is play with the numbers. If an account is an average of 50 reports out of tat per day, then move someone who does an average of 40 to 50 reports per day over. Duh! Of course, that kind of effort is beyond their 6-figure salaries.

Reason this won't work is nobody is allowed to think in or outside the lines. Somebody higher up makes all the decisions and that is it. No common sense, no flexibility, no thinking. Am I bitter? Yes I am.

I have always gotten paid time-and-a-half for holiday pay on the Fourth of July, which is one of Medquist's holidays (or so it is listed as and always has been), and was told by CCM we would be paid time-and-a-half for that Monday's work done since even though it wasn't the fourth, it is when it is nationally celebrated. I have an interview on Monday to work at a local veterinary clinic doing transcribing full time in house for animal patients. No joke, they have 17 doctors on staff and supposedly a ton of work. It means that if you do ACH you get your pay 9 days after you should have gotten your pay. Think about what that means for your bank account versus what it means for their bank account. It is significant when multiplied by hundreds of employees. It means much worse if you get an actual check in the mail. ...

questions I want to ask. I usually ask about direct deposit, but in light of my recent experience of constantly being paid late (and still not paid!), I am thinking about asking them if they have had or are having any pay issues, but then I wonder if that might be an offensive question to ask, plus if they do not pay on time or at all, it is doubtful that they would say yes, so .......
