Can anbody say....uh...topHEAVY??? and BTW..I could forgive their complete inability to perform any of the duties which produces revenue for this company if they had a clue as to how an MT/ME operates.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do. Every time I get a really great CCM (okay it only happened 3 times in my 10 years here) she gets let go in less than a year or so.
But still, maybe you are jumping the gun here....unless I'm missing something.....

As far as I know, though, my CCM is still with us. She is one of the good ones, and I've had about 4 or 5 in the past 5 years if I remember correctly.
It just bugs me how every corporate email is always about mgmt promotions and reassignments, VP of this and that. Lord knows how many VPs we have.
Never once have we received a corporate email about a promotion for a CCM or anyone other than top mgmt.
I think the CCMs are hanging on for dear life at this point. I wonder what the Spheris CCMs have been promised....

Yeah, the letter states that they are excited about all the good things in store for the clients (which is most important) and the management and the stockholders but fail to mention that all of this is at the expense of the people who actually do the work. Amazing!

Remember when we all first heard of MQ buying Spheris? Remember when some MTStar threads tried to think of that in a positive way? "More work for us?" Having been with this company going on 10 years now, I know their strategy. We, the little MT, never benefit from a merger. Mostly, heads roll, people are re-arranged, and to the victor belong the spoils. We NEVER benefit from any change. Those of us who do the scut-work don't think like the suits who were trained to be opportunists. I guess that's what you learn in business school. Personally, I'd rather sleep peacefully at night knowing I made an honest, nonetheless meager living. I'm glad it wasn't me this time, but there's always another card up MQs sleeve.

We can make a meager living or stop being loyal to a company whose executives have no loyalty to this company or any other company. They are on a career path not on a job path. If you are okay with minimum wage and just a job, then sure keep working for MQ but don't expect anything more. But if you think like a CEO and realize that corporations are in business to make profits for their stockholders, so that your bottom line is your own profit, then you take what you can from the experience and keep succeeding. Poverty is not purity.

They didn't buy Transcend, they bought SPHERIS. But you're right about one thing, they bought us for the accounts not the MTs, but they ALSO bought us because we have very HIGH customer satisfaction(and that is because of the MTs).
MQ bought Spheris because the price was right. NM - Curious

Corporate Greed Sep 06, 2012A prime example of that is when I work every holiday for time and 1/2, but low and behold, there is mysteriously no work in the system. Because they press a button and send it all overseas for some poor sap to do for 5 cents a day, instead of paying me time and 1/2. There is no appreciation for the MT and our expertise anymore.
