How do I turn highlighter off?

I've always been able to read fast, needed to for college. With current ASR the highlighting was driving me crazy. I, as do others, read head, and also primary use control and +. Lockdown for us started last week and sometimes I can punch in earlier than 15 minutes and jobs keep downloading after my shift and other days I get the error message to contact my CCM.
