I've always been able to read fast, needed to for college. With current ASR the highlighting was driving me crazy. I, as do others, read head, and also primary use control and +. Just curious if anyone is using it. It is supposed to save us keystrokes (like they really care) but I turned it off after the first 2 lines of my first ASR report. The CTRL F7 feature is to enable notification of gender mismatch, or catch that we didn't change cc to mL (if the client requests that) or positive allergens are not in all caps (again, if the client requests that.) The one where you can hit shift/ctrl/M or control M to take the cursor to the voice and the voice to the cursor. It's a really handy feature but I find that about half the time (more recently!) it just does NOT work. current date into the body of the report, it's puts the WRONG date. For example, I just noticed that it put 11/08/2010, and of course it's 08/10/2010. I have some .wav files I need to load into Express Scribe for a potential placement with a company for school. They will not play in windows media player, or Express Scribe. In ES it says "Opening audio file failed." After this I even downloaded other .wav files for school and they work and play just fine. Does anybody know what the keyboard shortcuts are to stop and start audio playback in DQS? I know I have done it by accident before, and it keeps playing, unlike if you use the foot pedan where you have to hold it down the whole time. I have never liked having to hold the pedal down. Does this happen to anyone else - your footpedal stops working in the middle of a note and you have to use the keyboard commands to finish playing the audio, you upload the job and the footpedal may work for the next note or may not. Frustrating. Not as good with the keyboard commands for audio. I have shut down and restarted and that will help for a while.
