about quality of reports, and these reports are are being traced back to ASR reports and it has been reiterated that we must listen to the whole report. Hmmm..... Wonder if the reports are from ILP or US as, based on the sudden drop in work a while back, it looks as though our group's work has been swallowed by the at least 80% to India CB rule.

I hate it when they send out a generalized e-mail like that. They need to contact each MT individually about the problem and again, how do we know if these reports weren't done in India? Just another way to brow beat their employees instead of taking a corrective action and handling it properly.

Yeah, we got an email like that awhile back and I just ignored it. I know I am doing the best I can with the crappy dictation and audio that I can given. When MQ puts a punitive policy like FTR in place they are only asking for MTs not to get a second listen. So fine, now they can reap what they sow and what they are sowing is losing clients left and right- not to the ILPs, but to domestic MTSOs. The clients don't want the ILPs either.

Just can't survive in the US on 60% pay, especially for doing work that takes longer and is more labor intensive (correcting, formatting, retyping the parts that are a total mess) than just plain typing it. Maybe 1% of ASR I get actually goes like they promised and like it should.

It should be ILLEGAL to use ASR in healthcare. - Peoples lives are at stake. R.Raccoon -n/m

Sorry, but I am seeing a huge problem with - the big picture of Healthcare.

I am seeing the future of our healthcare going down the tubes. It is starting with medical records. The billing department of HealthNet laid off workers because India has taken over the billing department. Soon coding will be fully targeted. Right now we all know transcription is being done by MT's in India and other countries. Already there are complaints about the quality of reports. It will cause diagnoses to be wrong and will affect the patient's care overall. The hospitals are already in debt and some have to do with illegal immigration who cannot pay the bills, etc.

It will soon cause hospitals to not take care of patient's care because of lower cost of care. I see nursing pay along with doctor's pay being decreased. I see the future of healthcare as a horrible mess and it is happening to us MT's who are starting to see the overall picture as we are the first ones being targeted by our decrease in pay and loss jobs.

the whole nation is going down the tubes the same way. Anybody who cares needs to get out of this system and make another one.

(Money is revered above all, yet it's worth less than nothing...everyone for his own pockets and ripping off everyone else...customer service and customer loyalty gone by the wayside...)

I really think the corporate entity who's in charge of the whole thing just wants to get a few hundred bucks out of each person in the world just once and then kick the carcass in the ditch. Who cares about repeat customers when there are billions?

completely. Big businesses that got bailed out, too. Just die a natural death, so that the country's economic system and businesses could be rebuilt from the ground up, hopefully on a more honest and ethical platform.

that came out today explaining the insurance coverage and the costs? BCBS apparently uses PHCS for the employees who dont live in Michigan. I have actually heard of PHCS and its a huge network. Did you post here to stir up trouble? Are you bored? You certainly knew this criticism would stir up nasty posts. Seems to me you are displaying the very attitude that MTs complain about with QA. We were told recently a doctor was complaining about the quality of our reports. I thought that strange as he has no accent and speaks very clearly. I just did a report of his and his complaints are....do not use 1, 2, 3, etc., spell out one, two, three, etc.., do not leave off THE patient and just type patient at the beginning of a sentence..do not leave off LABORATORY IS AS FOLLOWS and just type LABORATORY, type what I said. I just spent most of my day basically doing full listens on about 30 reports by one specific MT who sent EVERY report she touched this morning to QA, all clinic notes by the same dictator. An MT posting a complaint on this board is one of the reasons it is here!!! If you don't like them, move on. You do not have to read them, and you certainly do not have to respond. While I do not agree with personal attacks on a board or anywhere else on individuals, complaining about pay, workload, or company practices should not be considered complaining, but very useful information, maybe not to all, but probably to some. I didn't read all the thread below about the new line count requirements, but did anyone else find that phrase odd? "Delight" our customers?! something like "correction to previous" email regarding line rate increase. At first I thought, okay, that virtually nil line raise WAS a mistake and now they will be giving us a more reasonable raise. Nope, it was the same exact amount.
