From what I got out of Princess All-Hands - meeting.

MModal uses not only United States and India, but Canada, UK, and Philippines for countries to get the United States medical reports done and trying to keep 20% of the jobs in the United States.  Much more growth opportunity to become an MME. 

We still have part time MTs.  A small number of MTs were affected that were let go.  Performance management will be done for greatness of work to raise the bar on every MT/ME.

EVERYTHING about the company is all about TAT and customer feedback about TAT.  Company had the highest compliance of 98% in Feb and March for TAT.  ASR is at 81% in March.  Nothing but examples after examples and more examples of companies liking their TAT.

THE SURVEY REPORTED:  (HERE WE GO)  The biggest complaint MModal received from their United States MTs during the MModal Culture Survey was a 70%-100% complaint feedback was...... DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!!!

LOW PAY WAS THE CHIEF COMPLAINT. 

Communication and Collaboration and steady work load was at 40%.  The rest of the complaints like off-shoring, flexibility, etc., were at 20%-10%.


WITH THAT SAID, PRINCESS GOALS FROM THE GRAPH TO FOCUS ON ARE:  1) Improve peer communications (buddy system).  2) Team calls  3) MT email enhancements.    COMPANY WILL NOT FOCUS ON THE MAIN COMPLAINT WHICH IS AT 70%-100%  OF LOW PAY, BUT INSTEAD ON THE 40%. 

NOTHING TO DO WITH OUR PAY!!!!  THE BIGGEST COMPLAINT OF 70%-100% ON THE GRAPH WAS LOW MT PAY.  YET MMODAL WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!  They are going to focus the money on email enhancements, team meetings, etc.  COMPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PAY, RAISES, ETC.  COMPANY USING US ONLY FOR THEIR BENEFIT, NOT YOUR BENEFIT.

Lastly, this company is nothing but for their shareholders.  That is all what it is about. MONEY IN THE POCKETS OF WHAT SHAREHOLDERS AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS ARE MAKING FOR PAY AND THEIR EGOS.

WHAT MMODAL IS TO FOCUS ON:

1) Sales Executives.  Focus on coding, tools by the company, and to have a 5 point plan to be a key success for the company.

2) Account management. 

3) Delivery of NEW PRODUCTS.

4) GLOBAL OPERATIONS.

5) MARKET EXPANSIONS FOCUSING ON NEW GEOGRAPHICS.


******* COMPANY KNOWS THE MAIN COMPLAINT OF THE SURVEY WAS MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTIONIST PAY, YET COMPANY DOES NOT CARE AND TOTALLY AVOIDED THE WHOLE SUBJECT ABOUT OUR PAY OR HAVING RAISES, ETC.  INSTEAD, MMODAL FOCUSING ON EVERYTHING ELSE, BUT NOT THEIR EMPLOYEES AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TOTEM POLE.

for those sitting around, holding hands, singing kum-ba-yah about MM. The smart ones of us are making our way to the exits, quickly or slowly but inevitably.

But hey, when you have to work harder and harder for less and less money, you can always call someone who gives a ___ on the buddy system, email or team calls!

Typically, all they care about is keeping customers (by TAT) and making money by any means it takes.

There are companies (in other businesses) who pay well to keep employees and end up sustaining bigger profits.

Then, there are the companies who care nothing about the worker bees. There was an interesting article about Walmart in my state. The state was getting after them because they had too many employees qualifying for state-assisted health care (i.e., employees could not afford the basics).

Princess - Meeting

This is due to corporate greed and not just with MM. Some in management and some CEOs see their employees as a financial burden, ie., offering us benefits, PTO, vacation time, etc. What they don't realize is that we contribute to the success of the organization as well. We keep up the quality and quantity standards they desire, therefore satifying their clients and that is what makes a business succesful--keeping the clients coming back.

The true financial burden is the inflated 6 and 7-figure salaries of management and CEOs. They don't need to earn as much as they do. They are not celebrities. They don't need to have mansion(s), yacht(s), lear jet(s), vacation home(s), car collections, an island, etc., etc.

We all have seen and know of organizations that have collapsed because of corporate greed. Greed not only destroys companies, it also destroys the greedy people themselves--their souls, their character, their values, etc. Some day these people will learn a lesson from it all, if it's not too late for them.

In the meantime the best thing for us to do is either move on, start a new career, enter a different profession, or stay here and try to make the best of it until something better comes along like a tier advancement, become a MME or QA person, or retire early.

Then I get another message from the Princess to register NOW for the All hands meeting and so I register with another message stating thanks for registering with no information on how to listen to the meeting. I have worked for Hands-On for a few years now and I think it is a well run company. I recently had surgery for breast cancer, and the owner and manager were very compassionate and concerned for my well being. They are always available to help if I have a question. It is one of the best jobs I have had. Date: 10.21.09 I am 44 and a medical transcriptionist. I started working as an MT at age 35 and since then has been doing this job. For the last one year I have been experiencing numbness and paresthesias in both hands and lots of trouble with neck stiffness and fasciculations in both shoulders. Also, is Bayscribe easy to learn and utilize?  Will it interfere with any player I currently use for voice files?  I have never used any kind of platform - always just digital voice files and Word. I've been noticing over the last week that my hands are looking almost like skeleton hands. It's like the fat is disappearing and the bones are becoming more prominent.
