On-Hands Transcription - MT417

I have applied for a job with On-Hands Transcription - I do not see information on here - positive or negative. I was hoping that somebody who actually has worked or currently works for them could post some information - positive and negative about the company and the accounts that they transcribe. Any information would be appreciated.

Because, IMHO, if you are desperate for a job and there is a listing, you apply first (sm) - Just sayin ....

and then ask questions after you have applied. At least you have your foot in the door for the job that is available, you can do the research, if offered the job you can make the decision from there on whether or not to accept. Otherwise, if a job is posted and you take the time to do the research before applying you run the risk of losing that opportunity. Again, IMHO. :)

--and that may be one reason why, because every Tom, Dick and Harry (or, in this profession, maybe Barb, Deb, and Julie) has applied just for the hell of it and may not be seriously interested because they've not even done their own homework on the company. Just sayin'...

Well, I am not the one who posted the original post, but just because you apply for a job doesn't mean that you have to take the job if you find out there are things about the company that you do not like. I do not believe there is any need to be rude about it. If you don't have an answer to the post, then I do not believe there is any need to comment!

In reply to the post, I personally have not heard anything about the company, but also noticed a position posted from them and therefore the search on here.

I wouldn't hire someone who applied to my company and knew nothing about it. SM - SM

Okay...I am new to the boards and have only worked with Hands On for 6 months but this is one of the better jobs I've ever had. I have always been paid on time, have steady work, receive constructive feedback which has helped to improve my skills. To date, the management team has been very helpful and friendly. I was recently asked to test by this company and most of the communication was done via email. I have over 30 years of experience and this is the first time that I have ever been asked by a company to download their softwiare in order to be able to test. I have worked for Hands-On for a few years now and I think it is a well run company. I recently had surgery for breast cancer, and the owner and manager were very compassionate and concerned for my well being. They are always available to help if I have a question. It is one of the best jobs I have had. Date: 10.21.09 I am 44 and a medical transcriptionist. I started working as an MT at age 35 and since then has been doing this job. For the last one year I have been experiencing numbness and paresthesias in both hands and lots of trouble with neck stiffness and fasciculations in both shoulders. Hello, this may be an unusual question, but I have been transcribing for about 3 months now, after completing 12 months at Career Step. I've been noticing over the last week that my hands are looking almost like skeleton hands. It's like the fat is disappearing and the bones are becoming more prominent.
