I know this was posted earlier. I know we received email from our CEO. So, we are sold to CBAY as of March 4?

I think with CBAY Holdings buying all of MQ around March, CBAY will have all MT/ME work. I think MQ will be focused more on below's website. This will be done more in the United States. Just my opinion.

CBay and our jobs - old and burned out

CBay has had a controlling share in MQ for some time now; the percentage doesn't matter. The plan is to send more and more work offshore and use American MTs only when the hospital insists on it. Many companies based in the U.S. are owned by Indians (and others) and have American employees. No, your job is not safe; no one's is, but these changes are not going to happen overnight and there will probably be American MTs for a long time to come although not as many.

Hospital REFUSES any ASR work. It was a joke and a mess. So now the account has to be completely typed.

It is such a mess, I ran back to college. Doing something else in the medical field.

US jobs - MT

I have an old MT News (newsletter) from 2007. There is an article about the future of transcription and ILPs. It says there are not enough new US MTs entering the workforce and the average age of the US MT is just under 50. It says that in 2003, about 4% to 5% of US medical transcription was done overseas but this has increased and will continue to increase with more transcription going overseas, but they say there will still be great demand for high-quality, high production US MTs. They say there will not be less work but more opportunity in QA and management-type positions.

I recently changed my health care to Kaiser and have observed first hand and for the first time, the use of electronic medical records; they really are of immeasurable assistance to each provider who is treating the patient. I just ran into a local job already, MOWING GRASS. The lady's lawn mowing man just finished school and is quitting the mowing. I haven't been getting a second resevered job for quite some time and was wondering if I was the only one. I have told my manager and she said she would fix it about 2 months ago. It really stinks because after I complete a job it throws NJA at me. If I let if search for jobs long enough it will find me one. offered the same amount of money that they make in India now so that evens out the playing field. Seems that way anyhow. It seems they are either extremely low CPL or full of ESLs that means you also cant make any money. Well, I guess that is where we are now and I dont expect anything will get better as we move forward with EMRs, etc. ...
