I remember the good old days, when we actually made progress in our jobs ($$$, benefits, etc.).
Now, in addition to not getting paid holidays (unless you work them, of course), employers are prorating PTO pay. So...even if you get paid vacation time, you're not paid anywhere near what you make when you're working. I guess the idea is to make taking vacation so unaffordable that you don't dare take it. (?)
I netted less $200 for my 2-week vacation. That is what passes for fair treatment of our workforce these days, I guess.
