Why is it impossible to find out the cost of Andrews - Coding course on their site?

Can someone give me at least a ballpark figure for the course? I don't want to send and email and/or call just yet....still not even sure I can afford to do this. :) Thanks!

and risk losing a sucker due to sticker shock. It's better if they get you on the phone so they can do a hard sell on you. If you email, someone will call to follow up, that's the hard core salesperson and they will talk until your ears fall off, or continue to call and hound you.

Same thing as used cars, and other expensive things. My husband wanted to go to a specific trade school - nowhere on that site could you find the price, you had to talk to someone and they chased us for over a year to try to hook us into signing up.

I did google out of curiosity; apparently there is a $600 down payment and the full amount is $3800? That's on their website blog/questions section. Not sure how recent that is, but that's a base amount for you to start.

I have no doubt that was your experience with tech schools, but is not true of Andrews.

They don't have any sales people. It is only the owner and the office manager, neither of whom have the time, interest, or motivation to hound you.

I have referred many people to Andrews exactly because I know that Linda will give advice and be helpful, but will NOT hound or pressure anyone. Some I have referred have chosen different options, but they all praised Linda and the fact that she was so helpful, but they did not feel any pressure at all.

I didn't attend Andrews but had no trouble finding price information on their website and it was my understanding that the price is all inclusive. Having recently purchased a car, yes there are dealers who play games, but not all of them. The dealers I used had internet sales and were upfront about their pricing. No one hounded me; what you describe is kind of the old school way of doing business. No doubt there are schools who employ sales people but I don't think Andrews does that.

Everything about Andrews, from the course content to the estimated time and the cost, is right on their website. It is under "How to Apply" under "Medical Coding."

You are also perfectly safe emailing or calling. They do not engage in any creepy sales tactics. They have no sales people.

Just FYI, the cost is not unreasonable, considering what you get. It is a flat 4500, which covers all three types of coding, all books, and instructor support.

In comparison, you would need to take all three AAPC courses plus their AP course (1695 x 3 = 5000, plus 695, plus 300-400 in code books), and you still would not be eligible for AHIMA exams. The AHIMA Coding Basics course costs about 3000 plus about 800-1000 in books, but has no instructors, and it IS "basics," not advanced, and does not qualify for the CCS exam.

I transcribe reports, do ASR reports and I also do MME work. I find it impossible when I an constantly "switching gears" every day on 5-6 accounts to maintain a decent production. So from new info I just got, post audit scores are virtually impossible to reverse. I don't think many with experience would accept .02 CPL. I would imaging this forces MTSOs to train newbies. I'm sure they have to pay QA far more than .04 CPL to correct and go over the work. Even if they did pay QA only .04 CPL to do this, they are paying at least .06 CPL total. By the time the new editor is sufficiently trained to go off 100% QA they have had more than enough time to realize that they will never make a living doing this kind of work, the lies ...

Avoid Saince. They are intrusive, constantly calling and they don't pay.
