Yes, but you will never make enough lines to qualify nor enough money to pay for it. - transcender

Work slow here too - MDI/trans

It seems that every Saturday night the work really takes a dip, not that it doesn't during the week. It is always puzzling to me. Maybe I might have 2 days out of 5 that are good, and I get my hopes up, only to see it go way down again. I am here on Saturday night with practically nothing to do. About the insurance too, I paid about $570 a month with Cobra on my own and then went with Transcend insurance, BC/BS, and boy was that a shock. I now pay over $200 a pay period for insurance now, and by the time they take everything else out, what I make can hardly cover groceries until I get paid again. This is awful, and I am wondering how in the world anyone survives on this.
Yes. $40 a paycheck for medical and - 10 for dental

To qualify, you have to be full time which means grossing $900 per pay period, which is twice a month.
It's $48 for medical, with $2500 deductible. - nm

Do not how good the insurance is, as I fortunately never needed to use it, but kept it as you never know when you might need it.
It's not a bad plan. It's a PPO and if you use - in network physicians and

and there are many, you just pay your co-pay for the office visit. You don't need referrals for specialists, just pay your co-pay. The $2500 deductible would apply to out-of-network and in-hospital (after payment percentage). All in all it's a pretty decent plan. You can get dental and eyeglass separately for a fairly low cost.
Paying the first $2500 of your medical bills every year - is not good coverage

$2500 is the in-network deductible. If you go out-of-network, that deductible is $5000. Plus, on top of that, you've got an out of pocket amount to meet each year too.
All in all, it's pretty much what I would consider a catastrophic plan.

MDI/Transcend-Has NE1 Received Health Insurance Cards? Jan 29, 2010I have received my vision insurance ID cards but no documentation whatsoever about my health insurance since "applying" for full-time employee status with benefits. I find this odd as this is the last business day before the official transition on 02/01/2010. Wouldn't the health insurance, if it is actually in place, be in effect as of 02/01/2010? Cost Of Hightest/best Insurance On COBRA Dec 12, 2014Does anyone know what the current cost of COBRA is for the highest level of insurance (the "better" one) that Nuance offers is for a single person? (Well, single in that no other members are claimed.)
I've been offered an IC job that pays very well, but I have to keep my insurance (as crappy as this policy is). I know I can get healthcare through the marketplace thingy, but I'm wondering if I just needed to take COBRA for a bit, how much would it cost.

Health Insurance As An IC Oct 21, 2010I am considering becoming self employed (after a fashion) as an IC. I have gone onto www.healthcare.gov and gone through the steps they advise when you want to take out private insurance. Holy cow, the insurance plans offered varied in premium cost from $600 to $4000 per month for a family of 4, but the thing that got me was two items: Maximum out of pocket for individual: 0$. Annual deductible for individual: 0$. Woohoo. This just seems too good to be true.&n ...

Health Insurance Options Available Now To Anyone Jan 30, 2011To those of you who desperately need insurance now, here is a great place to look for temporary insurance. If you eventually find out that COBRA is not going to happen or LM jerks you around so long you miss the deadline, you can still qualify for Uninsurable Risk insurance depending on the State you live in. Some of these plans may even be cheaper than COBRA, which is something you might want to look into.

I Can't Qualify For Health Insurance With A VR Job May 03, 2011This is my first VR job. I cannot make enough lines to qualify for health insurance on it. This is the first time I have ever had this problem. I could easily exceed my line count with a straight typing job. The only way I could meet line count now is if I blaze through the jobs without proofreading and put out bad-quality jobs. I wouldn't even be able to get up to stretch my legs ever. I'd have to cut my lunch down to 30 minutes. And even then I'd be about 1000 to ...

Nuance Health Insurance Nov 09, 2012Please correct me if I am wrong, but from what I have heard this insurance plan (BC/BS?) does not cover primary care office visits until you reach a 2500 dollar deductible, no copay anymore, paying for the whole visit?? I thought all insurance companies had us pay a copay, not the whole cost of the office visit. What about prescriptions, do we pay the full price for them now too, or is it still about a 15 dollar copay? I am left wondering how they got this kind of insuranc ...
