updated reviews on AssistMed? - Updated info?

Does anyone have any updated reviews on AssistMed? Considering leaving one of the big ones for them. Good or bad idea? Any input on the "new rehab account" they are staffing? Thanks

I work for them part-time and do not do voice recognition jobs, although there are accounts that have this. Have to work weekends PT. Their format for transcribing jobs is very easy and simple; I personally like this job as I do not want to be in the major rat race any longer and I find their management to be nice and helpful. I don't know about other people; I can just speak for myself. I always, always have work when I want to work.

I know I worked for them just a very short while, was given a very hard account with lots of foreign dictators and just decided it was not for me. Pay is 7 cpl, no chance of any raise. If the work had been better, I probably would have stayed. I know several who have come on here and not been happy with them. No benefits, IC, nothing but 7 cpl, unless things have changed.

changed... there are only a select few who get the "gravy" accounts, have nice managers, and have plenty of work. They are the "favorites" for whatever reason. No benefits. 7 cpl, no raises EVER, weekend work, HEAVY ESL, cherry picking up the ying yang, (which means they are pooled accounts and most everyone has more than one account, so when a "bad dictator" comes up, some transcriptionists disappear. When a "good dictator" comes up, EVERYBODY in their brother is on the queue fighting to get it). Their system allows one to "toggle" back and forth between different accounts, and to be able to see what dictations are coming down the pike. Believe me, some girls are very good at anticipating what is coming, and being next in line to get the "good ones!" It is frustrating, and hard to get your lines. They do have minimums and you must meet them or be fired. I worked there for a LONG time, and I will never do that again!! they are a junior nuance or MModal, for sure, as they patterned themselves after them. Constant nasty emails, as well, particularly on the weekends when some do not log on to work when they should. It is a demeaning place to work.

Yes, I am sure they have not changed. I found it demeaning also, and I could see where everything you said above is true. I worked there just about a week or so, and got right out. I know on other companies too what you're talking about, like with orthopedic accts where you can what is coming up and then everybody jumps on the good dictators. It just makes everything so stressful.
