question for Amphion employees - undecided

Do you find it difficult to make the line count for full time? I am currently PT and thinking I want to go FT, but I really don't think I could not make the line requirement. I have been working at Amphion for a while now, and I am torn between the pros and cons and is it worth the risk to try working for a different company.

The good thing is there is plenty of work, and the people I communicate with are very nice. But I have about 6 accounts, and I just can't seem to be very productive when I am constantly being switched back and forth between them. I am also mystified by their "adjustment" for editing lines and not happy with not being paid for spaces. It makes me feel cheated. Am I the only one who feels this way?

I am not trying to stir up negativity, just wish I didn't feel so alone in this problem and need to decide what to do.

That's a 30% paycut from the normal MT rate since 99% of MTSOs pay for spaces. You might be better off working PT for another company.

I worked PT there and barely made line count because of the adjustment, divide by this and times by that.... I agree, I would get another PT job, you will make more money and not have to work extra hours just to get your PT pay.

Thanks for your replies. You are just confirming what I really already knew - even as I typed my original post I realized how obvious it all is. When I took this job I was coming from another company where I never had enough work, and I was just thrilled to not be running out of work. I just need to push my fears aside and take a leap. Thanks!

I was just curious about what employees thought of Nuance on Glassdoor. You read several US employee opinions and they reflect the morale listed on MTStars. Scroll further down and read the opinions of the transcriptionists from India. What a difference. They are highly satisfied with their jobs and most have been working with Nuance for 6 to 7 years. Anyone ever get fired from Amphion for not meeting line requirements? I work for them FT or more as needed and have yet to make the 12,000 line requirement. I've been with them for 6 months now and have not heard a peep about it. My QA is meeting requirements and my attendance is excellent, but I have yet to make the line count.
