PTO accrual is at Amphion for full time employees? - Anon

Does anyone know what the PTO accrual is at Amphion for full time employees? Thanks.

My understanding of how PTO works is that it is estimated per 6PP. I think that means that they take your LPH for the last 6 pay periods, drop the lowest LPH, then average out those 5 to get your approximate LPH x the number of PTO hours you use. Does that make sense? Your timecard should show at the top the number of PTO hours accrued. When you use them, figure an average of 150 LPH x PTO hours and that is what you could be paid on your next check. I'm just using 150 LPH as an example, sometimes the average is less (or more) depending on your actual production LPH. I believe the accrual is 6 hours of PTO per 10,000 lines produced per PP for full-time, or about 1 day earned per pay period.

So how often are the pay periods? If it is every other week are you saying I'd get 2 days accumulated per month? I currently do not work for Amphion and accrue PTO per pay period, but it will only amount to 5 days at the end of 1 year - IF I am able to get in 40 hours each week which has not happened due to lack of jobs. I am considering applying at Amphion if the PTO is better and other benefits are similar and if they have steady work. Please provide any additional info you can so I can make an informed decision. Thank you!

...you have been with the company and whether or not you make your lines for the pay period. We get paid twice monthly. It's not 2 days per month, but the first year, assuming you meet your quota each pay period, you will get a little over 2 weeks off. It goes up from there. I never have trouble making my lines as long as the work holds out. What I don't like is having to use my PTO if work is low and hours can't be made up that week.
Let me put it another way :-) - SP

I apologize for any confusion about my prior post. PTO is production based. Yes, it is about 2 weeks per year for FT. My understanding of it (and just my experience) is that for every 10,000 lines that I produce, I accrue 6 hours of PTO. Math not being my forte, I came up with 6 hours PTO per paycheck x 2 paychecks per month = 12 hours per month x 12 months per year = 144 hours of accrued PTO / 8 hours per day (if FT) which would come out to about 18 days of PTO per year, or 2 weeks give or take. Also, after PTO is used up, there is also LWP (leave w/o pay) that we can use also. PTO has to be used up by 12/31 except for 8 hours that can be carried over into January. PTO has to be used first for all time off, even when no work, unless you flex your hours, such as splitting your shift or switching with another MT. Full-time requirement is 35 hrs/week minimum, but can work up to 40, and 10,000 lines per pay period, which is about 142 LPH, which is not hard to meet at all. I have 2 accounts and work 35 hours each week and have never NOT met line count. It is not hard to meet at all. The benefits are great, Amphion is great, PTO really adds up quick on your timecard, and the staff is great at clarifying anything up for you as well. Again, sorry if I confused you. Math is not my thing. DUH me! I hope that clarifies your PTO question. :-)

How Many Full-time Tier 3 Employees Were Laid Off? Apr 05, 2013There has to be something behind this selection process.
If I were streamlining the company, I would lay off starting with tier I (because tier 2 and tier 3 can also do the work) and then tier 2 (because tier 3 can also do the work). I think MModal will eventually end up with only tier 3 employees in the US, and they will force them to all become MMEs. JMHO.
