Amphion has several teams, so things may be different with different teams but my experience is when they say flexible, they mostly mean YOU! Run out of work all week long and then Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday there is work. Seven days a week to get enough lines because you are constantly on that "flex and check back every 2 hours." If timecard must be updated daily so that management can adjust workflow then I say management needs a lesson in how that is done because they are not even close to a balancing act and they are still hiring. If you are prepared to get the majority of your hours on weekends and lose PTO for any time you cannot work..welcome aboard.
LOL TheFry. We must be on the same team! - AmpMT

For some reason, work has not seemed to recover from the "winter lull." Maybe this is the new normal. Not sure how I'm gonna feed my family like this....
I LOVE the people at Amphion, have had nothing but great experiences with the supervisors, editors, etc., but work load ("fighting" for work) and now the transition to VR (pay cut) really stinks.

I am not sure about any of the other teams, but my team seems to have more than enough work to go around, and we have had overtime a few weeks out of the last several. I wonder if it would be possible for the people on teams running out of work to change teams to one that does have enough work. I keep seeing people posting about running out of work, and I have not had that problem in months, and I have been here six.
As far as flexibility, I have had some personal circumstances come up a few times, and no one ever had a problem with me making adjustments to my schedule, and my first time that I had to ask for flexibility was after only being with the company a couple of weeks, due to my child being hospitalized far from home. Everyone has been great so far.

Amphion is a great place to work, support team is awesome and there is plenty of work if you don't mind doing a backup account. Pay is better than mos.
Wondering if there are any current Archivus MTs here that would be willing to share their experience; specifically hoping to find out if the work flow is steady, but any information would be helpful. You can email me if you would prefer. TIA! ...
I am struggling with the dictation on the archivus testing. I could only do one report with no blanks, the others are really tough. Has anyone else had this problem? What should I do if I cannot finish the reports or have really too many blanks? ...
Well, again Archivus called us off today and it looks like tomorrow we will be off again!!! We were off this whole weekend also. This is getting really, really old!!!!!!!! Anyone else "working" for them? ...
I have an offer with Archivus. Can anyone tell me anything about this company? Are they decent to work for? Is the account that is on ExText truly 70% ASR and 30% straight typing? Thanks in advance ...
Does this company hire and then after a quarterly review have QA pick your work apart and then tell you they can either terminate your contract or cut your pay. Understand this has happened to more than one person. Has anyone experienced this. They told me I was doing awesome work, not they picked the work after and then tell me that in 2 weeks my contract will either be terminated or will have a reduced line rate. This makes no sense. I have 18 years experience.&nb ...
Any current info on either of these companies; pay, how the management treats MTs, enough work? Trying to make a decision. This will be my secondary MTSO - already have another full time job, just would like to have a secondary when things are slow. I know two is going wear me out some, but it is better than the fear of going broke with only one MTSO during the slow times. ...
Has anybody ever worked for this company and made any money: I started out doing 100 lines per hour and almost a year later still doing the same and have put over 1000 entires into my work expander. Still doing 100 lines per hour. Cannot live on this. Anyone else have this experience? ...
Hey, does anyone know if there is something up with Archivus? Sold again? I cannot get anyone to return my calls or emails. It is worse than it has ever been. ...
Does anyone work for Archivus? For the last couple of weeks it's becoming quite a pattern for them telling us not to log on and work until they give the okay with no explanation except that it's per the facility, usually ending up missing one or more days of work. Not sure if they are running out of work or not. Anyone know? ...
Got an interview and I am so worried about their platform or platforms. I am so tired of being disappointed and unproductive on crap platforms. I have read that they are a good place to work. Would love info on that as well. Thanks!! ...
Has anyone worked for Transportal or Archivus out of Charlotte, NC? If so, what were they like to work for ? Plenty of work? Good management? Easy platforms? Pay on time? They advertise a lot on MT Daily and I am wondering why ??? Are they losing people due to lack of work or indeed do they have plenty of work? Thanks! ...
I am beginning to hate the fact that I took this job. They keep calling us off or switching us to clinic work or something else. This is one of the worst places I have ever worked. I am going to have to find something else. ...
Anyone ever get fired from Amphion for not meeting line requirements?
I work for them FT or more as needed and have yet to make the 12,000 line requirement. I've been with them for 6 months now and have not heard a peep about it. My QA is meeting requirements and my attendance is excellent, but I have yet to make the line count. I've switched my schedule, asked for another team, another account, work extra, racked my brain, all to no answer or just "no". I'm not sure what to do a ...
Considering applying for work with Amphion. I understand they do not pay for spaces. Do they pay for headers or do anything to bring up the line rate? If not, I won't bother. Thanks. ...
Does anyone know anything about Amphion. I know nothing. I think I'm going to have to find another job because of changes being made in the company I work at currently. I can't afford such a drastic pay cut as what is coming for me so I'm looking around for a transcription job, not VR. Any information good or bad is welcome. Thanks to anyone who responds. It is greatly appreciated. ...
I'm applying at Amphion just wondering if anyone could give me some current information on them. Good company to work for? Pays on time and accurate? Enough work to go around? I did a search for info but didn't see anything real recent. I'd appreciate any information you can offer. Thanks! ...
Hello! Can anyone tell me anything about Amphion; specifically how costly is their health insurance? Do they provide steady work? Thank you in advance! ...
Can anyone provide a ballpark range of what Amphion pays for straight transcription per line and for VR? I understood they also offered a shift differential.
Thanks! ...
