eTransPlus or Archivus... - anon

Any current info on either of these companies; pay, how the management treats MTs, enough work? Trying to make a decision. This will be my secondary MTSO - already have another full time job, just would like to have a secondary when things are slow. I know two is going wear me out some, but it is better than the fear of going broke with only one MTSO during the slow times.

If looking for a job that won't wear you out, Archivus, they are always - low on work

Ditto that about running out of work. They are either losing accounts or overstaffing, as they have nothing to move you to.

Wow.. that is discouraging. I had hoped they would not be completely running out of work. Is it just a seasonal thing or is it always this way? I think this is a straight typing position. Any info on eTransPlus??

EtransPlus called me over a week ago and offered me a job. Here's the catch. If you don't work full time you don't get full pay. They penalize for part time work. Up to 3000 lines per pay period only was offered at 6 cpl. 3000-4500? 7 cpl and so on up to full timers would be 9 cpl. That was INSULTING! so I immediately told them I was worth a lot more than that and it wasn't right that they penalized someone who wanted to raise her kids during the day and only needed to work at night.

you do the math. I quit Archivus over 2 year ago due to lack of work - 2 years is a long season (LOL)

eTransPlus changed their company policies last August. They already paid on a tiered scale based on a 2-week pay period. They decided you had to meet the quota each week, so then you had to count your lines twice for each pay period. This held you back from getting the higher pay quota. They also increased the quota to get insurance/PTO benefits from 10,000 lines to 12,000 saying it was the industry standard--not really true; it is 50-50 on that. That is a 20% increase, which is like working 6 days a week. Do you think the office person who thought of this works 6 days to get or keep their benefits? You can't make enough money unless you beat your brains out (normal for some jobs) and/or if you get evening or graveyard differential, which is 1/2-cent and 1 cent. I was grieving over a death, so I kept the job for almost 2 years, but would otherwise never work on a tiered scale again. I am now paid 9cpl elsewhere, but even so, that was my pay 11 years ago and my expenses have gone up 40% since then and that is not enough with no holiday pay either, which used to be a full day of pay x6 days a year, which is a good bit of money. Archivus WAS a great company, but since being bought out by an overseas company, the number of notes it takes to reach line requirements has doubled. They offer no PTO, no paid holidays, no sick time and insurance is very expensive. There was a volume issue for one physician, and it took over a year and many, many e-mails before they would even go to the client about it. Told MTs to "do the best you can" with it.

I have been at eTrans for 7 months. Great job. If you work full time, you can usually manage to make it to the top pay tier. Paid time off is accrued each pay week that minimum is met. As far as running out of work, I currently have over 300 jobs in my pool as we speak. I do not remember the last time I ran out of work.

Happy MT has a unique situation with ETransPlus, and she has only been there 7 months. On the other hand, I have been there for years and work has never been consistent. It's much worse now. I am in a life situation where it is just better for me to stay than to look for another company. It appears that most companies are all the same anyway. It's not the industry it used to be. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Very disillusioned.

Does this company hire and then after a quarterly review have QA pick your work apart and then tell you they can either terminate your contract or cut your pay. Understand this has happened to more than one person. Has anyone experienced this.
