About what? It is true that they laid off people without any notice while they continued to hire all summer--(so-called famine season at that). Has the welcome new hires scroll been removed from the community page?

It is true that they lost not just those two accounts but also a long-standing account that was very large and had been sending little work finally terminated their relationship in July and another large one has been doing the same scaling back of work. No one would be surprised if they leave altogether soon as well.

They did cut pay when they initiated the ISR and it's a total mess. How is it more productive to have speech wreck murder a chart (while we're sitting there getting NSA messages--flex-flex-flex like you have no life);have it finally presented to those of us they like to call by their new important-sounding title MCS for editing, and then go to be backended instead of one and done by a medical transcriptionist?

There is an unnamed executive of an MTSO who expressed the opinion that the way to lower costs was to cut line rates and let the highest price (i.e. highest producing)MTs leave and then replace them with lower producing MTs who would work for less money. Not saying this opinion applied to any Webmedx exec., but as this executive will find out, the old saying you reap what you sow still applies. Webmedx has been reminded of that in the last few days by their own hand. They now should understand they have plenty of unhappy MTs who either are or were affiliated with them and the anger is multi-factorial.

For one thing, postings on this board saying there were - "massive layoffs". That is erroneous.

You are so right. At my company we used to have a saying about the "cheap MTs." PAY PEANUTS, GET MONKEYS. Do they want professionals or folks from the matchbooks? You get what you pay for. Just saying.

I appreciate his keeping us informed. I think my work situation is like my marriage, if I spend all my time looking over my shoulder and worrying about what is going to go wrong I will not have time or energy to put into building and keeping a strong relationship going.

I am truly sorry for those who were effected by this but am also thankful I still have a job with a company I still trust and enjoy working for.

I did not get one, though have not yet been told I am fired. I am on the Chartmatrix system, anyone else still employed on that system? Just wondering if perhaps they decided to cut that loss so as not to have to transition to the Enterprise system, and maybe they are letting a few of us finish the week off...

I recently changed my health care to Kaiser and have observed first hand and for the first time, the use of electronic medical records; they really are of immeasurable assistance to each provider who is treating the patient. I just ran into a local job already, MOWING GRASS. The lady's lawn mowing man just finished school and is quitting the mowing. It really stinks because after I complete a job it throws NJA at me. If I let if search for jobs long enough it will find me one. It seems they are either extremely low CPL or full of ESLs that means you also cant make any money.
