Secure FTP setup? help!!! - FrazzledMT

I was just offered a position working from home doing transcription and need to set up an FTP site and I am totally not sure how and what is the best site for doing this. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I have been out of work since November.

I use DocShuttle FTP. The company has great tech support that will talk you through setup.

If that's too expensive, there is also MyDocsOnline, which I also use and also has great tech support.

MyDocsOnline is different than DocShuttle in that it is kind of more like a browser than software.

Why not take a look at Metroscript.com. It's an easy file transfer program designed for medical transcription--hardly any learning curve and company support is excellent.

If absolutely need to have an FTP site try ACE FTP. It's free and a real nice program. There's also FILEZILLA that is also freeware and lots of MTs use it.

I do agree that MYDOCSONLINE.com is a really good program, very reasonable pricing. Their desktop app is very easy to use for both MTs and clients.

All anyone has to do is take your average pay currently and use the grids. You will see that it comes down to a pay decrease. They went through a lot of trouble and rehearsal on the "potential" to make more instead of one seeing it will be a decrease and they will be getting an increase in their pockets as usual. For some reason I have recently become very, very uncomfortable at my desk. My right leg is always hurting, falling asleep, or getting a charlie horse as I type. I have a cordless mouse so I can switch hands, but it doesn't seem to matter, as both shoulders hurt from using it. Also, my butt goes numb - LOL. I'm back to editing after a few years away from it and can't believe how bad the software still is. The company I worked for 3 years ago used better software and the drafts were not that bad. Now I'm with a different company using not the best editing software. Not sure what the docs are using, but the VR really does a bad job, even with very good dictators.
