Where is all the work?  Are you giving it to the newbies you trained in your acquired school?  What about us loyal employees?  Employer of the year a joke.  Left out here flapping in the wind with no word on what is going on except losing accounts left and right and not enough work to go around.  Moving to new system but no word on that.  Where are you, employer of the year?  Have you abandoned us?

I miss Webmedx...the Webmedx I actually started with in 2005, not the one in business today. I was laid off last year by Webmedx after being told that our new VR system was going to make things great for us. Then after being trained on the new system there was no work AT ALL! The doctors on my account decided to do their own editing. Goodbye job for all of us! Thanks Webmedx!

Nope I got a call from my manager's supervisor last September and she told me that since I was being laid off I could apply for unemployment benefits and that they did not have another account to put me on, that all the accounts were covered and I was just one of many calls she was having to make because my manager was gone for vacation.

Have you been on unemployment or were you able to find a new job? It is very worrying. They said the accounts went to India that we recently lost via Chartmatrix, but it seems to me that the STMs now seem to put the corporate TAT numbers at the top of the list and what we want as MTs and even what the client wants seems to be brushed aside, so I would not blame some of them for defecting.

Those numbers and goals are set by clients (TAT) and by corporate, not by your daily team leaders.

What I mean is that previously there seemed to be greater concentration on getting templates correct so that every time you typed it you didn't have to correct mistakes, also interaction with the doctors doing the dictation to get it to their liking. I am not blaming the STM for that because they are obvious given the TAT as their top priority, I just mean if I were the dictator that wasn't getting anyone asking me how I like stuff typed, that would annoy me too and I might as well go to India, and that is the feeling I am getting because when I ask they just say it's all in the ISR and that should be fine, meaning well I don't think they even ask the doctors, frankly.

Of course not controlled by STMs. But corporate is in charge and we are the guts of the company and we are sitting here idle being told what a great company we work for. We are going to a new platform with lots of work. Just be patient. But my landlord isn't patient and my utily holders are not patient and my car loan provider not so patient. Been told the same story for over a month now, lost accounts, no work forthcoming, no new platform, just hanging out to dry. No doubt many accounts went to India as hospital administrators are greedy and stupid as well. But I expected better from this company who prides itself on being the best. I am more concerned that we are being replaced internally by newbies and those less qualified. Not sure how else to explain mandatory overtime when we were busy to now nothing to do at all. ASR sometimes a joke. Could transcribe in less time than it takes to correct ASR. I know its time has come, so look out all. Less money for more work and it's as boring as any job I have ever had.

No, they just said they could not compete with India, which I guess means companies who outsource to India, which they do not at this stage. Not a lot of Spheris comments on here, so either they are all very happy or they have somewhere else to vent.

We lost at least 8 hospitals on the CM side. Not sure about Enterprise. Heard it picked up new big accounts, plenty of work for everyone. But those of us on the CM side have no ability to access it and work is running out and nonexistent. This hurts. Been there a long time.

I hope they cherish the Employer of the Year award because they won't see another one. Should have seen this coming because the past few weeks have been horrible. What will they do when the ones who did not get the axe decide they don't want to work for such an untrustworthy company and go elsewhere? I did not get the Force Reduction letter but am papering the world with my resumes because I can't make money for people who lie and ruin lives the way they do. I wonder if they had even a fleeting thought about thinning the herd at the top, like the ones who never knew what an MT was before they got hired on with a fancy title. After all, aren't they the ones who are supposed to be earning their big bucks by preventing this sort of thing? Oh, and they can stuff their 6-H's, too. What a joke.

Comparison Of ASR With Webmedx And MQ.

Anyone else working for/or have worked for both who has noticed a difference in the quality of the ASR on one as compared to the other.  I may be crazy, but I think I make far fewer corrections to the ASR on MQ work.  Maybe just lucky, but I tend to be a mouse user  (I know - shame on me, but I am getting better) and I find my right hand lets me know when I have been using the mouse more. ...
