Transcend "time clock" - Crazy cat lady

I've tried to sort through bajillions of posts (or so it seems) about TRCR requiring MLS to only clock the time w/ their hands on the keyboard, and I have a couple of questions.
1) If this is an issue w/ you, are you not making the $ reqiored for the ppd, yet you're working your required hours?
2) Do you run out of work regularly (I'm not talking the last day or two of the ppd)?
Just curious. I'm not a suit. I'm just relatively new and I've never had a problem w/ this thus far. I don't use the stopwatch thing, but I go by my line count. I do around 200 lines and then take a 5-minute break, but since I started I've always made the required $ every ppd. THIS IS NOT AN ATTEMPT TO START A RIOT. Honestly, I'm just nervous and wondering what's around the next corner as I came from the evil Q and am jaded.

When I get up to go to the bathroom, I just add a few minutes before or after to compensate. I do not take time off for research, etc; all part of completing a report. I got now to where I am close to meeting my requirements in 40 hours and then some extra, but it takes a lot of doing. P.S. If you need to take a break, do so when you are on your demo screen. It does not count your time then. As soon as you go into a report you are on the "clock" and this time counts towards your stats. Hope this helps you. [ In Reply To ..]but I suspect that those being told to use the stopwatch thing are being monitored because they are running into overtime or not making a satisfactory line count for their 7 or 8 hours put in. I don't feel 100% safe, but still (also having worked with MQ a long time) don't believe that Transcend is anything like the Q in its management style.
This is all so petty and unnecessary. Where are they - FINDING the ppl making up these rules?

[ In Reply To ..]Can start with operations manager and work your way down. Does not want you to blink unless it improves line count and ultimately OPs salary. I keep plugging away because that is whay I am supposed to be doing (it is my job), but this stupid stuff gets in the way of actually producing and doing your best. You just cannot get through to the OP manager...you are nothing but a number in their eyes and OP manager could NOT care less about you as a person. But if their bonus was cut, they'd know your first name right quick.

[ In Reply To ..]I just put the hours I am supposed to work my shift. Did you ever look at the detail on your line count? If they want to know when you are working all they have to do is look. The time card is just your personal testament that you did not work any uncompensated/unapproved overtime.

I'm figuring in the time the best I know how and it's working well. I really liked how eTransplus did it, just by line count only. We didn't have to do timesheets. The Q swallowed them up though :(

The best line count you can cram into the 35 hours (required for FT) benefits you when they factor in OT rates if you are offered OT. Very difficult to explain how the whole mess gets factored together, but suffice it to say, I got screwed on this before I figured out what was going on. I keep track of every bit of time I work (even if I cannot put it on the TimeSaver) in case I have to do any juggling to benefit me. What pain this is, to have to go through all this....YIKES and double YIKES!

Used to work for Transcend and loved that you input your own time card. You could put down 8 hours even if it took you 10 to make your lines/$. It has been inconvenient, and maybe a bit confusing at times, to check my time card hours for my shift as, because of my time zone, part of my hours show up on the next day because I work 2nd shift. My company was honest and upfront when we started using ChartNet. They told us that once you enter a report for VR, the time clock does not actually start for 60 seconds. The requirement for ICs to use a time clock is apparently to protect the service from being sued for unpaid labor, right? Lest any of you would like to continue debating whether the "activity" mentioned is legal versus illegal. Transcend paid out MANY thousands for violating the laws you all are talking about and did so around 2006-2007 as did Softscript pay out many thousands MORE around the same time and there are no doubt more violations. It is my understanding from an attorney that if we are required to sit and wait for the work that is considered time worked. Keystrokes wants us to keep track of ONLY the time spent typing, any time spent NOT typing is NOT considered as time working according to them. You would have to rack up a lot of time just typing to get in those 40 hours in order to get paid overtime. By the way I have never been paid overtime even after 40 hours and when asked if I would receive it the anwer was ...

The truth is KS is being sued for not paying overtime. KS does not have time records and that is why it is being implemented now. I myself know overtime pay was not offered for anyone taking extra hours on my account. I also have e-mails to that effect.
