SoftScript invited me to test - input wanted

I've been invited to test with them.

Hi. I tested and passed and actually spoke with the recruiter this morning and as has happened to me, no kidding, 3 times before, we started the interview by talking about what I wanted for a schedule. When I said, unfortunately she couldn't get very close. She told me she had 3p, 5p, 11p or 2a for start times (EST)... Just thought I would give you what I was told this morning.

Why none of these morons will put that information - in their initial post is beyond me. SM

Do none of them realize how much of their time they waste on interviews when a prospective MT isn't told what schedule is available?

We realize none of them care how much of an MTs time is wasted, but think about their own time, that of HR people, computer tech people and others when a prospective MT doesn't have all the information up front?

I wasted days on a company when they said they'd set me up on one platform to train, while I upgraded my computer to work on the next version of their platform.

I finally gave up after the tech person screwed things up and said I wasn't wasting any more time, I'd decline the position.

If these MTSO reps posting help wanted ads would use their stupid head for something besides surfing the net all day for recipes and such, things could go a lot smoother for all. Put everything in the initial post and you might not have to waste your time wading through 1000 resumes or responses to find the right person for your position. Post the wage offered, computer equipment required, shift coverage information, and so on in the first place.

I passed the first written test. I have noted some remarks about SS but nothing current. I am just needing PT. Would anyone want to share any comments about SS? This business is not what it used to be, but at least of all resumes I have sent out at least they have replied. Next is possibly up to a 2-hour interview, which I have never done before. I know everyone has their own opinions and experiences too, but right now I am needing a job good or bad. Appreciate any thoughts. ...

I am attempting to take the SoftScript acute-care test and have received 2 separate links to the online test, which seems to have a drop-down feature for their multiple-choice questions. However, the drop-downs don't work (I've tried accessing the test using several web browsers), and when I right click on the test, I get the message "Function Disabled." Has anyone had the same problem, and, if so, what was your solution? Thanks in advance for any ideas. ...

How long after end of pay period does Softscript usually pay? I'm fairly new and trying to adjust! It's the 8th and end of November pay hasn't posted yet - is it just me since I'm new? I have noticed a significant decline in my line count with Softscript ever since their blooper that happened on MT week. I dont really understand how that has affected my line count so much but I used to type 23 jobs and get about 1000 lines. Now I type 23 jobs on the same accounts and get 700 lines. Something is wrong with this picture. I am looking for another job, I just feel like I'm wasting my time. ...

I noticed that every now and then that SoftScript advertises on the MT Job board for a pathology transcriptionist. I tried applying for that job once, but they said that they wanted "recent" experience and the last time I did pathology was in 2001. And yet, they keep advertising for that position. I've not been working for SS very long and have been doing QA for them. I was wondering if anyone who reads this board is a QA, or has been a QA, for SS and, if so, do they audit you? How strict are the audits? What happens if you don't make the score? I have a friend who used to work for SS a couple years ago and she said that she quit because the audits were "nitpicky."
