SoftScript Acute Care Test - Function Disabled! - suzncatznkidz

Posted: Dec 03, 2012

I am attempting to take the SoftScript acute-care test and have received 2 separate links to the online test, which seems to have a drop-down feature for their multiple-choice questions.  However, the drop-downs don't work (I've tried accessing the test using several web browsers), and when I right click on the test, I get the message "Function Disabled."  Has anyone had the same problem, and, if so, what was your solution?  Thanks in advance for any ideas.

So sorry to see this got moved here, where fewer will see it. - sm

I have no idea what's happening, especially if you've tried different browsers. You wouldn't happen to be using a pop-up blocker that might be blocking them? I often find that was the problem for a situation like you describe and have to turn off my Adblocker Plus.

If it's mttest.com where you're taking it, I believe there's some Tech Support contact info, but I have no idea how helpful or prompt they are. I've just taken 2 or 3 mttest.com tests in the past couple of months and find I have to use IE7 (which I never use for anything else) in order to get my footpedal to work.

Best of luck.

MTTest.com? - Bilboa

I'm assuming from context that MTTest.com is a site where one can do ONE (thank goodness!) testing process and have it be accessible to multiple prospective employers. Since I'm imminently about to be laid off, this naturally caught my attention big time. However, www.mttest.com automatically redirects to CareerStep, which appears to be a company basically selling training programs. Plugging mttest into Google yields various links to testing, each for a different company. Can anyone enlighten me about where to find the site and what the process might be?

Thanks for your reply. They sent a new link and . . . - suzncatznkidz

it worked with Internet Explorer (but not with Firefox). So, problem solved for now. Thanks, again!

Acute Care?
Sep 23, 2014

As a relative newbie MT, I'm not certain what "acute care" means. Does it mean basically all reports that are from doctors in the hospital setting? That is, would any hospital operative note, hospital progress note, and all discharge summaries be considered "acute care"? I know a clinic note is basically a note by an outpatient doctor, right? And it's basically about more minor medical problems albeit could be chronic rather than "acute." ...
