Peachtree new hire - any feedback from current ICs there?

Does anyone have current info on Peachtree Transcription in Georgia? Based on older posts, it appears that they only contract with ICs (no employee status), may supply equipment, and that their pay scale is by the dictated minute. Is this correct? So, I'm an RMT with less than 1 year of experience under my belt...currently working as an IT on an account only paying .05 cpl and also another account paying .07 cpl. I use to work for Keystrokes before and was very unsatisfied. Good Luck if you do work for them! I've had a job offer with a transcription company..however, my problem is I'm required to have MS Word, version 2007 or 2010,,,no student/teacher/starter or trial editions....and I've gone to Best Buy, E Bay and Amazon. The cheapest I have found to dowload it is $300 !! That's not happening....so, is there a less expensive way ??? If not, I'm faced with turning down this job offer. HELP !! ...
