Current new-hire TTS MTs? - Yet another ad on job seekers

TTS keeps running ads but people say they do not follow up on interviews after going through the testing. Has anyone actually answered the ad, been interviewed and hired within past 6 months? I am relatively new here and just wondered about why some smaller companies are always looking for help but when I research the company here there are nothing but complaints.

I have been with them for about 7 months and I have no problem with them at all. They leave me alone to do my work and i never hear from them. I keep my percentage above 98% for the most part and even if it should fall down, they leave me alone

but nothing too bad. I got hired as an IC and have never been happier. They have plenty of work on my account so it's up to me how much I make. The pay is better than most, at least for me it is.

When I was hired on I called them direct - and had no problem

I work as an IC and like the ones above work, hardly hear from them and make good pay on my end. Not a new hire on, been there several years.

I'm an IC and I make almost 10 cpl for TT and - almost 5 for VR.

Never run out of work and most of the time extra is available.

TT would have paid, maybe 10 cpl a while ago. Then you would probably be a fav from years back...just say'n. Nobody wants to even give you 9. They have to now give Nuance a cut for the VR, so the MT gets cut. TT did not offer IC before. Maybe with their new merger comes new rules for the senior partners. Don't know. TTS offered 7.5 and 3.5 for employee work.

And it took me less than a week to test, interview, get my offer paperwork back to them and get installed. I was real happy with the recruiter, can't understand what happened with some of the others.

I have been with TTS for about 6 weeks now. I responded to their post, received a call about an hour later, started right away. I love the company. Yes, no FIESA!!. You mind your business and do your work and they will leave you alone. I believe your pay is based upon the difficulty of the account you are working on. I get 3.4 and 6.8, but the drafts are at least 98% accurate, and I do get quite a bit of standard typing. So, so far--so good. Coming from Nuance, I feel like I am in heaven with TTS.

I actually get up looking forward to my job and don't mind putting in some extra for them. My account is so well trained it's a breeze making over 300 lph. I'm loving it.

I'm doing over 400 lines an hour editing and just under 200 straight typing and I LOVE the Escription platform. I came from Nuance, too!

I also do the same amount on VR at TTS - but we have some doubters here

From what I read on here, most VR really is horrible. If others had as good, maybe more believers, right?

Just had a person at top of this section saying did not believe I could do 4000 lines in a day. If they had the VR we have on my account, you and I both know we can achieve these line rates. I was saying I usually make between $150 and $175 a day and might have as well been called a lie.

Just a question for everyone. I accepted a position and was to hear by the end of this week from my manager about doing some training on Tuesday of next week and have not heard one word. I did receive foot pedal, etc. I put a call out to the recruiter who told me my manager was going to contact me, but of course at MQ you always have to leave a message. part-timers for weekend work anymore? That's the way it was done for years, full-timers for M-F and part-timers for weekends, and it worked great because so many MTs are looking for extra weekend part-time work anyway. I've had a job offer with a transcription company..however, my problem is I'm required to have MS Word, version 2007 or 2010,,,no student/teacher/starter or trial editions....and I've gone to Best Buy, E Bay and Amazon. The cheapest I have found to dowload it is $300 !! That's not happening....so, is there a less expensive way ??? If not, I'm faced with turning down this job offer. HELP !! ...

I know this is an extreme long-shot, but I'm wondering if there are any good MT companies out there that hire M-F and pay a fair line rate (for the way things are today anyway). It doesn't matter to me whether I work employee or IC. I just started with Nuance this past week. During the hiring process, I had good communication with the recruiter. During training, there was good communication with the person in charge of my training. However, since my first day on the job, I have only heard from my TSM once, and that was a bulk e-mail to lots of people. Is this typical? I thought maybe I was doomed to the lot of those who want to hire ICs to work as employees with set hours and all sorts of other restrictions but finally I am actually working as an IC with 24-hour turnaround time with both companies. Recruiter said she could put it on my form as a request, but who knows. My start date is not for another week so perhaps I should wait for CCM to call, but.... I graduated from MTEC 4 months ago with a 99% GPA and found a job as an IC in November.
