Peachtree Transcription vs Keystrokes - Ann

I use to work for Keystrokes before and was very unsatisfied. Good Luck if you do work for them! They make working more difficult than it should be maybe it’s because of the Indian people they have their people working with. I work for Peachtree Transcription (PTA) now and I can say I've never been happier with a company. This company is located in Georgia. They have great benefits and very well organized! They pay by the minute or line depending on the account you’re working on. They're very nice and when I ever need a question answered they're quick to reply. I'm also an IC so I'm responsible for submitting a bill. Stephanie (the owner) is always on time when it comes to receiving my check. It's never been late. I will say I’m making more at PTA than I did at Keystrokes. The manager’s name starts with a V not an A. Thanks. P.S : One of the accounts, Keystroke had is now back with Peachtree Transcription.

I worked for Peachtree for a long time and went to Keystrokes a few years ago when Keystrokes took over 3 or 4 of Peachtree's accounts.
This post is full of lies:
Peachtree only hires ICs, so the "great benefits" are nonexistent because ICs do not get benefits.
The owner of Peachtree is not a woman, it's a man.
Peachtree pays less than Keystrokes AND it's IC, so even less than it seems.
I am happy at Keystrokes and do not usually post, but Peachtree is so horrible that I had to do so. They do not have many accounts left, from what I have heard, and must be desperate to put out a post like this.

Keystrokes most definitely does not pay more than Peachtree that I can assure you.

If they've lost most of their accounts, it's because it's payback time for the number of good and decent transcriptionists they've abused financially, verbally, emotionally and pscyhologically in the past. By the way, there are no benefits, and you're lucky if they don't decide to be mean and vindictive and withhold your paycheck.

There are NO benefits . . . they REQUIRE you to become a corporation so they're covered from not paying taxes. Because of that, you are an independent contractor (in name only). Even though they require you to become a corporation and call you an independent contractor, they treat transcriptionists as employees and demand attendance at MANDATORY meetings. Can you imagine hiring a plumber or a contractor to work on your house (both independent contractors), and requiring the plumber or contractor to show up for a MANDATORY meeting and then threatening not to pay them if they don't get to your house at the designated MANDATORY meeting time?

[ In Reply To ..]I worked there (at Peachtree Transcription). So I know. This was written by the owner or the owner's daughter, who manages the company. They require you to attend mandatory meetings even though you are an IC and then tell you that you will not be paid if you don't attend the meetings. Always a threat hanging over your head.

and QA dings me for one. Unbelievable. That's what it averages for 1400 lines a day full-time. Even with 3 cups of coffee and an office chair seat belt, it's no easy feat. Ninety-thousand keystrokes PER DAY. That's not including the ADT, the Internet look-ups, etc. Throw me a bone here, QA. How many keystrokes to you do, PERFECTLY?? ...
