Has anyone here ever worked for PeachTree Transcription in Georgia? If so, what are your feelings about this company?

I was offered a job there a couple of years ago to do radiology but when I spoke with the recruiter she said they do not pay for normals in a report. If they call up a normal you do not get paid for it. I don't know if that has changed but that is the reason I did not accept the position. There are lots of normals in radiology and to have to complete the report and not get paid for anything was not acceptable to me.

That's another question I can ask them. This is a new account, huge hospital, all radiology. The recruiter never mentioned anything about not being paid for normals, but that certainly would not be acceptable to me either. Thanks for your input.

normal, you should be paid, but it'd be part of the line rate. If YOU pull up YOUR normal, you should be paid for those added lines. ??

World of difference in those situations, and that's how it works at my company.

I spoke with the owner of the company on Friday. I applied Monday (the ad was on mtjobs.com. Hadn't heard from them Wednesday, so I wrote to them again. That's when I got a response. He claims the account is a huge hospital with 70+ dictators. Give it a shot. He did tell me he had a lot of resumes sent to him, but that doesn't mean a thing.

If you are an IC and they give you and 8 hour shift that means no breaks. If you take a lunch break you have to work 1/2 hour later. You have to work that 8 hours straight.

I was IC hired for certain hours ( I know all this is not allowed but we all know this is how it is) and was also told that on this certain day and give a calender of month you will be required to stay on 1 hr extra ? excuse me where is the question are you available to work extra? and on m and fri you have to work this extra hour or get on hour earlier... hold up I was hired for 8 hr shifts to be told I had to work extra .. I like to be asked if available not told and I am IC people!!!! I left needless to say

IC doesn't mean much these days. They tell you to work certain hours, hire 50 people for 50 jobs a day, so you sit there all day doing nothing. NOT talking about Peachtree--I have never worked for them. Just venting, in general.

I think there's a little confusion when it comes to the definition of an "IC". Some places let you tell them what days, hours, etc. that you will work. Other places require you to work the hours they need you. In saying this, you are the one who can decide whether or not you want to work when you want to work or when the company needs you to work. There are several different kinds businesses that want you to work certain days and hours. My husband and I have our own business and the people we having working for us are ICs. Because of the nature of our business they work when we need them to work. All of our ICs have been with us for 20+ years. Just sayin'.

I use to work for Keystrokes before and was very unsatisfied. Good Luck if you do work for them! They make working more difficult than it should be maybe it’s because of the Indian people they have their people working with. Would someone explain to me how is that this company can legally pay us a lower rate for ASR compared to transcription?
