How do you think the head person of WEB started out? I believe it was from learning the business from MQ. Before WEB, it was Spheris. Before Spheris, it was MQ who was previously known as MRC Group and Transcription Limited who joined and became MQ. Previous to MRC Group, it was Secrephone/Medifax where some of the managers started out and became CEO/COO/board of directors.

All these CEO, COO, financial officers, board of members all know each other and used to work together.

It is one big family that got so big that they branched out.

So sorry for all of you let go. I would immediately file for unemployement and get TAA which is free schooling and go back to college and get out of this sweat job.

YOU ALL DESERVE WAY BETTER! YOU CAN DO IT AND MAKE SOMETHING BETTER FOR YOURSELF.

My secrete desire is all MTs get together and we all quit our jobs from the MTSO's and we start our own business, kind of like a Union and then we take all the clients from the MTSO's and have our own business. After all, wasn't it that way years ago? Just doctors, hospital and MTs? Why in the world do we need 20 some board of directors who make 500,000 a year plus bonuses just in one MTSO company? WHO NEEDS THEM!

That sounds great. I'd love to work like that. Eliminate the middle man. That's all WMX was. I don't know why hospitals even use them. I think in-house is the way to go for quality work.

They say it is - and they complain to the MTSO's when they don't get it, but the hospital boards are looking to save money anyway they can and by not having to have the equipment for MTs, the place to "house" the MTs, not paying their salaries, not paying their health, dental, PTO, etc., they save money. There are a few hospitals that still have in-house MTs and I would love to see the in-house MTs come back to hospitals. That way they would know FOR SURE their work was not being shipped overseas to be done. But I believe that to be a pipe dream. After 28 years in the business, I believe I have had enough and will be looking other places for employment.

What is so sad it that you just dont get that MQ doing everything they can to send all of your jobs to India is problem #1, problem #2 is dumbass hospital executives that see NO VALUE in medical transcription. Problem #3 is EMR companies tell hospitals they dont need transcription at ALL!

The fact that WMX is 100% domestic and protected more jobs for US based workers than anyone else in the industry doesnt fit into your fantasy.

Okay, so start with expensive equipment and then get your clients and hope they pay you on time. You may need to hire people who will cry if you do not give them top dollar?

Thinking for the other MTs. I have gone back to school and will be done the beginning of next year. Had enough of being an MT for the past 25 years.

Quite frankly, it sucks dealing with the suits who are crude greedy animals and the killer part, DO NOT CARE FOR THEIR MTs who got them where they are today.

Hopefully a suit will have a soul SOMEDAY and then realize it is due to an MT who got them where they are. Afraid that is a dream too.

I am amazed at how many people ask the same question year after year about company after company. Companies have until 1/31 to mail W2s. The bigger the company, the longer it takes to finish up the previous year's books and have W2s ready to print. It takes a lot of time to print, assemble, stuff, seal, stamp and mail an entire company's worth of W2s.
