Input on eMTS? Thinking of applying..sm - MT looking

LSU account. Hard to make required lines? Ease of platform? I don't need to jump from the frying pan into the fire. Good company?
Very strict on QA. - Suzy Q

All I know is that they are very picky about ltitle mistakes. I had tested for working there and right away they told me I made way too many mistakes. I do not know anything about their platform, how much they pay or anything else. I have taken lots of tests where I have done very well and passed most of them. This to me was a warning signal, but then again they could be great to work for. I hope somebody else will come on board to answer your questions.

I worked for them for years and I thought they were great. The owners are good people and the work was more consistent than at a lot of other companies. The pay was above average and I was able to get above 200 lph straight typing pretty easily. I also liked the account I was on and hardly ever had to type on my backup. Would definitely recommend them.
I don't think this is the same company as eMTS. EMTS Trans is based out of Miami, Florida and they are looking for someone to type rehab reports from written notes. Has anyone had any experience with them or know anything about them? I can't seem to find a website on them. ...
I have been offered a position with eMTS online and am wondering if anyone has any experience with them. The only posts I have read were good, but they are very old posts. ...
I am very concerned about this merger (EMTS emloyee). Since it occurred, our work load has been very low so, of course, I am wondering if iMedX employees are getting some of our work? Extremely worried. Anyone else having the same issue? ...
It has been 3 days with no work and not one word from management as to what is going on. I've never dealt with such a sly bunch as these people. Slow...they don't know what the problem is. Puleez! Has anyone gotten them to admit our work is now overseas in the blink of an eye? ...
Does anyone work for Q.E.D. ? Their job posting sounds too good to be true -- and no offshoring:

We're a growing service, in business since 1988. We offer competitive pay and benefits, including the following:

Never thought I'd be posting this, but I need others' input. I have been working as an MT since 1988 and have lots of varied experience, including acute care, in different specialties. Until recently was only working part-time. I decided a few weeks ago to look for full-time work. Have been sending out resume' on top of resume', but so far have gotten zero response. Now I know companies are hiring, so I'm wondering . . . does anybody have an ...
Hey everyone out there in MT land!
I am looking for some input from you all. I have started my own business in transcription, and we have clients and employees!! We are still small but we are growing VERY quickly.
I have been doing TONS of research into lots of things. Some of the topics include offshoring (which we REFUSE to do...we are only for US and Canadian MTs), transcription wages, EMR concerns, as well as the entire process of transcription and how to make it easier n ...
I am transcribing a note and the assessment and plan sounds like s/l elaphesia
( I put alphasia) The patient has a history of hypertension and hyperlipidemia. Does this word sound correct?
She also dictated medication that sounds like s/l new genermac. Any ideas are appreciated. Have a good day! ...
I would like some information about what it is like to work at MQ. I know a lot of people are unhappy, as they are with any company but I am still considering accepting a position. Can any provide information on work flow, production averages on straight and ASR, insurance costs. I know every company has its pros and cons and I would like to hear from someone who has been there a while, knows the work available, dictation quality, etc. Any info would be greatly appreciate ...
We only have 3.?? hours every pay period of PTO until after 4 years with the company. I was off last week and for each day for PTO I indicated 7 hours per day. This will give me 1 extra day of PTO over the year at 7 hours pay. I do not know if that is allowed, they may require us to indicate 8 if we took the whole day off. Will see what happens about that. I wish I could put 6 hours per day, leaving me more hours of PTO.
We have 2 days paid sick time, which I have ...
I am very happy to have found this forum. I thank you all for the input on companies. I worked for a company for three years and was frustrated to the point of going nuts. I broke three keyboards and threw books at the wall. I had never experienced this when I worked directly for a practice and had to leave there too. I messed up my left wrist trying to make the lines they expected and took 10-12 a day since their platform was so very slow. I ended up taking a medical month leave of absen ...

*some of the post is redacted due to inappropriate response below. not looking to jeopardize anyone's job at all. not sure if these questions are allowed, but
would anyone be willing to share actual experience they have had transitioning to Nuance from a hospital - step by step - and any promises that were made and how they panned out. did you get to keep your same hours as promised. how long did it take before you were pushed into other accounts. were you told you would ...
I have had offers from several different compaines this past week and I'm not sure which way to turn. Can anyone give me some input on AssistMed, The Transcription Docs and Ascott Transcription (ATS).Thanks! ...
I recently started working PT for a company. So far, everything has been great with them. Great work to do, good line counts, pay is on time every time and accurate. However, something in the back of my mind keeps bugging me. They didn't ask me to fill out a W-9 form. Is this normal for PT IC work? I mentioned it to them and didn't get a reply back about it.
Perhaps, I'm just being paranoid, but I'd like to know your th ...
I also have an interview coming up with Transcend soon. I have done my research on this board and elsewhere. Are there any MT's out there who are willing to give some new and or good input into this company and why it might be worth it to work there? ...
I put a note in another thread asking about Keystrokes Transcription Service, so excuse the redundancy, I just wanted to make sure this was seen. Does anyone have any input on this company? Thanks. ...
I would be doing cliniic work because I want the flexible 12-hour schedule to fit around a part time job working directly for a small hospital. I may end up being bored, but I want to give it a try. How is the clinic work and how is the Apex system? I have previously worked on DocQspeech and Escription. I really want no more than two accounts and to be mostly just left alone unless I screw something up. Is this possible with Accentus? ...
I need some advice. My current company has been low on work and I applied to Transcend. Any thoughts about Transcend? Should I jump ship or stay put?? ...
I have been transcribing for over 20 years and my wrists are a little tired. The company I work for has offered me a position doing QA if I am interested. I was hoping for a little advice on what the going rate for QA is so I know where to begin my discsussion. I am hopeful I will be able to stay on with the company. They pay weekly so even a hit in pay switching from MT to QA would not be so bad. ...
Does anyone have any input on InScribe? I want to work for a company that pays on time and the QC is not so nit picky. I am ready to give up on my current employer's expectations, as I can't seem to meet them or the bonus. I am sure some of you can guess who I work for. Any input would be appreciated. :) ...
I know there have been many posts on this company, but I have lost my notes on this company and would appreciate any input anybody has on them. I have read Oct, Nov, Dec. posts. Any input would be very appreciated. TIA. ...
Just wondering if anyone does or has worked for SoftScript and what your experience with them was/is. Thanks. Actively looking for a new company!!! ...
I'm totally getting burned out at MQ. If it's not the NJA with requests to change schedule, then it's the lack of primary and getting other unknown accounts slowing me down. I've gone from full-time at MQ down to working part-time with another part-time job to make up lost income now for the past 7 months.
When I started MT'ing so many years ago, the pay was great and being able to set my own schedule was a real plus as well. It was the ...
