I am very concerned about this merger (EMTS emloyee). Since it occurred, our work load has been very low so, of course, I am wondering if iMedX employees are getting some of our work? Extremely worried. Anyone else having the same issue?

I haven't had much work either. I don't know what account you work for, but mine seems to be up and down a lot normally (only been with them for about 3 months), but lately it is definitely more down than up! Not sure what's going on.....

Pretty scary! I've been working on ORH accounts for almost 2 years now, and we have never, ever been this low in work. AND, it seems to have started around the same time as the merger. I hope it is not true that they are sending our work to iMedX employees, because that is the same thing that happened when I worked for a hospital and they outsourced to Medquist, which was a total disaster. We were supposed to keep our same work, but that didn't happen at all!!

I worked there from July to end of February. Straight typing but all of a sudden, we are "grappling." "H" made the announcement that she was going to pharmacy school, and I knew then that "things were going on;" A MERGER. Why do yo think they advetised two-three months ago. I loved the company, but got terminated because I KNEW something was up with the "Indian connection," which was denied up and down.

That's one of the things that really bothers me. EMTS was great to work for. I would be extremely disappointed if our work is truly being sent to iMedx employees already, since eMTS claimed we would still be doing our same work. They have always been very honest and forthcoming in the past, and to tell us one thing when they know it will not be true is very disheartening.

I have had next to no work today. It always seems to be slow. Supposed to be the only service typing this account. That cannot be. There is no work and a major hospital is not that slow. I am so saddened by this merger. There seems to be no where to go anymore.

They must have had all the equipment and programs already set up for iMedX before they announced the merger to us. Very, very sad. And I agree, there is no where to go anymore!!

I worked for eMTS for 5 years, quit about a year and a half ago. They were great to work for until the last 6 months before I quit. Kept on skimping and lowering pay, bonuses, etc. until it was not worth it any more. I really liked them too, very friendly and understanding people until the greed set in...

I think Imedx promises the sun and the moon to get the company to sell/merge and then sends everything to the indians and leaves the US transcriptionists out in the cold with nothing to do. See it happen before with the company i worked with a few years back. Very sad.

My company "merged" with Imedx several months ago. Here is my question to those who have had their company merge with Imedx: What happens if/when your account goes to India? Does the account slowly phase out or is it just one day gone? I just realized something that hit me in the gut. I so want to believe T in the conference call that nothing is going to change, 2 companies with mutual interest, blah, blah, blah. She sounded so honest and confident in what she was saying. Today I realized the FAQ sheet she provided on IMedX was very misleading. She stated they are headquartered in Atlanta with 2 additional offices in Connecticut and Ohio. She didn't mention (intentionally I can only imagine) ...

Anyone else in SA3 having problems with this merger? My first job after we switched to the combined South area with a new log in # came up completed by someone else. Called my manager and she said her phone is riinging off the hook with people telling her the same thing. She does not know what the problem is, has to investigate. I came in with the merger of MDI a year+ ago. I almost got an ulcer reading some of these posts, seriously. While you must consider what you see here, especially when there is an abundance of similar opinions, be aware, a small percentage of the company's MTs post here. I will offer my advice. Treat it like a death of a spouse. Mourn your loss and look towards the future. Don't make any big changes for 1 year, or at minimum 4-6 months. Go with ...

I guess this is just a question to those who have been part of a Nuance merger in the past. Were you able to keep the schedule you were working before the merger, or were you herded into the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift spots? I work split shift over two of them right now. Anyone allowed to keep working M-F after a merger? I suppose I'm mainly wondering if I can continue to pick my own random schedule after the Trasncend merger is complete. ...

Well I was in the West regeon. The big "merger" of accounts took place on Monday the 18th. Well...by Wednesday I started to get the "no jobs allocated" message. No one on this board seems to give specifics when they get canned from IMEDX. So my question is this: Can each person who got laid off/fired let us know more details. Were you PT or full time, did they call or did they email, did you have options, or just firing. How many lines did you do per day. So now Medquist and M*Modal are merging. Wonder what this is going to mean for all of us working for companies that utilize M*Modal. Now I understand why WMX sold out to Nuance. Seems to me no one wants to hire Medquist because of their terrible quality so now they are swallowing up competitors platforms and bullying their way into accounts. They have already stopped allowing other companies to use their DocQScribe platform. Interested to know anyone else's thoughts. ...

Can anyone currently working in QA at Nuance comment on how the position is compensated. Do you get an hourly wage like we currently do at Transcend or can we expect to be switched to production based. Do you even have QA staff?
