Does anyone else wonder why suddenly - sm

Precyse is such a great company to work for? Every post I have ever seen about them has been completely negative and now suddenly they are great, pay great and use DQS. Things that make ya go hmmmmmmm.

. . . that multimillion dollar lawsuit that changed things. These companies know how to operate their business in good standing, but they choose not to just to make a buck. Sometimes they get caught and have to pay out big money to settle lawsuits, thus ending up making less than they would have had they done things properly.

They are under the eyes of the powers that be right now so expect them to dot every I and cross every t - but all too soon they will go back to their make money at all cost philosophy. After all, if they can pay out as much as they did and survive as a company - you know it will be a money making affair for them to revert back to their old practice as soon as they are out from under scrutiny.

change as they have slipped down too far ethically to ever be as good as they were 9 or 10 years ago; there is a point of no return and they hit it about 5 years ago when they started hiring MQ upper and middle management rejects. Like other MTSOs, greed took over and the MTs became nothing but a means of putting money in their pockets at the MTs' expense, i.e., fill that chair 24/7. I guess this is no different from any of the other big MTSOs, except maybe the nepotism where you can be an account manager with a relative as a transcription director and you get away with being incompetent, the other managers have to cover for you, do your work for you, hold your meetings for you, and are expected to smile as they bend over for you, without a kiss.

that they didn't contact testers who (apparently) failed the test, were particular about who they hired, that there was some nepotism & there was some woman who drops the ball when recruiting potential employees.

I worked at M*Modal so saw worse things than that my first day!

I work in a hospital...excuse me, I DID work in a hospital until receiving termination notice yesterday (VR took over and MDs are doing their own editing..which is a train wreck but that's another story) and one of my coworkers was recently working part-time for Precyse. She said they were great as far as the companies go and really liked them. I never got any real details but she seemed happy with them anyway.

I worked for Precyse back in 2007 to 2010. Most of the time it was good but largely in part because I did rad and one of their accounts needed several of us Rad MTs to work directly for them and tney paid us $20 an hour and we had lots of OT. This eventually ended when Precyse got that hospital to join their platform and we were immediately plunked down to a line rate of 7.5 cpl. I could not make nearly close to the $$$ I had before, none of us could, and then the account was overstaffed and you felt like you had to compete for your job. I quit and moved on. Hope this helps, but like I said this was over 3 years ago.

Has anyone noticed that fairly suddenly ASR recognition has gotten much worse. I know it was pretty bad before, but now I've noticed that even with the clear dictators where in the past the ASR recognition was okay, it's now HORRIBLE. Weren't we promised the ASR would get BETTER with time. Didn't they LOWER our pay when they said it got better before. So, wouldn't it only be fair to move the pay back UP now that it is so horriible and NOT improvin ...

I can't win for losing with these new QA folks. Never had a problem before and now I cannot type a report correctly. Whereas I've typed for the same doctors for 11 years, they don't know the accounts, but I'm wrong in everything. What happened? Prior to my company being bought out by N a couple years ago, I was constantly getting bonuses, almost every pay period without fail. Great reviews...always passed them. Hmm, let's see. We get a letter from MQ extolling our virtues as MTs, more and more info about nationalizing the EMR with Verizon, etc. and I notice I'm not the only one getting less ASR, more direct typing. Could be a coincidence, but could be MQ is gathering statistics on us, how the voice recognition program of MQ compares with our production as MTs versus straight typing on our own. I got an email Friday stating my TL was leaving (DH) old OSi. We have a contact person until a new TL is assigned. I have been waiting for a new/big account now for ever and I am guessing that must have fell through again. They are just jacking me around. I am on unemployment for being underemployed now. Does anyone else have the account ..... Switched to yet another superviser after having the same one for years, got another one for a month, now another one. wasn't capping before? WTH? Is this just another sneaky way to catch us on medication errors, which happen to be nice 3-points-off errors that I am sure they love? Question for those of you who have been lucky enough to have had work through all of this time. Is your account suddenly drying up? Mine is. I am quite sure they are taking it and giving it to the people with no work. So now we can all sit around and have NOTHING to type. the work skyrockets overnight like nothing we have had in at least 2 months or more. I had to ask why all of a sudden did the workload go up so high? I found my answer-earthquake hit India yesterday/last night so my guess is many of the MTs over there can't work. This company gets "better" all the time. It was about the client wasn't happy and the account was at risk, and yet, it showed every day for the week the percent quality score was above minimum. Some "critical" errors, but I'll bet they were mostly not following the client profile. Earlier there was an email stating that the client (a different one) wasn't happy and we were at risk of losing that account. Had to do with selecting the encounters correctly. Gee....
