Do you work overtime when asked? - shortimer getting out quick

To the company who asks for overtime on a continual basis: Let me tell you how my day goes. I work third shift for you, do my 8 hours then get my 2 kids, age 5 and 7, up for school, take maybe a 4-5 hour nap and get up and start my part time job for another 4 hours, which I have to maintain because you do not pay me enough on my full time job to make any money, it is very difficult jumping around on several accounts, doing every work type imaginable and just basically skating by. My income from my primary job pays my rent and utilities. If we want to eat or have gas in the car or my kids need clothes, I have to work a second job. Then by this time the kids are out of school so I spend a very small amount of time with them, feed them and put them to bed. I work a minimum of 12 hours 5 days a week and usually end up working weekends on my part time job because it pays me more than you do and you think I have time to do overtime that does not pay a living wage. If these companies would pay an MT what they are worth more of us would be happy with our jobs and would not be sending ourselves to an early grave working 60+ hours a week. I am glad I am young enough I can try and get out of this field and hopefully will be able to very soon but feel sorry for the older ones who are evidently having a hard time getting anything else. When are these companies going to wake up and realize they need to make some changes?

The same ones keep advertising over and over and over, does that not tell them something is wrong with what they are doing?
