If you work in TN and your employer is out of another state, I don't know how that will affect OT though.

This particular subject has been discussed on the politics board. It was passed by House, but thankfully the Senate will not pass it and even if they did, the President would not sign it into law.

This isn't the politics board, so I think that's as far as I should go, but you can do a search for more info.

I live in Tenn and this is the most stupidest thing I have heard. The company I work is out of GA. I was working 30 hours and I was told not to work over 25 hours due to what contract says but I am partially retired and can only make so much without being penalized by Gov. I could work more but they said no. Look at those people in Congress. Most are wealthy and would never know how to survive on the crappy wages in the past few years for us. They should have to walk in our shoes for a few months and see how it feels with rent, food, utilities, no insurance, house insurance. It is a day to day struggle. They could not do it. This bill was just passed. I am glad you have told us. This blows my mind. I read your link. Someone pulled the wool over our eyes and I generally keep up with what goes on in politics, but I am just a little worker ant. They should be ashamed to look in the eyes of good Tennessee people. Shame on the Tenn Congress.

I work second shift, so, due to the time change from PST to CST, after 10 pm my time, the last hour of my shift shows up as the next day. I worked 1.5 hours this morning and then my regular 2:30-11 pm shift, so I figure I should be paid for 1.5 hours overtime, but my calculated time (I recently discovered this on the current time card page) shows me as only getting credit for 0.5 hours overtime with 8 RT (Regular time) + 0.5 OT hours showing up on Sunday and then 1 hour showing up on Monday as ...

I know when I call in to have work assigned (OT accounts) they always ask what kind I want. I usually just tell them "Whatever" and they confirm I do all work types, say thank you and away we go. Not only cut in pay, it seems like the OT is no longer time and a half. I can't believe the amount of money I have lost. Anyone know how they figure overtime?? Could the suits be so devious as to require mandatory overtime so it temporarily boosts income so they look like they are paying a living wage? Or is there just a supply/demand problem?
