Is anyone working at Softscript right now who is happy with their job? Would like some feedback on what this is company is like -- how it treats the employees.

I have worked for them for several years. I have been extremely happy with them. If you don't need a lot of hand holding, they are great. Platform is relatively user friendly. Work load is typical of any national. Frankly, they are the best national I have ever worked for.

It comes recommended to check into what is known as their "turnover rate."

With all the moaning and complaining that goes on about individual companies, the truth is all nationals are basically the same (some slightly worse and some slightly better than others).

I have worked in-house at hospitals and specialists offices, as an employee and as an IC for multiple nationals. There is no perfect company to work for but I personally have found SoftScript better than most. Just my opinion based on my own personal experience.

The truth about being an MT is you need to have at least 2 jobs because it is feast or famine and the hope is when one is out of work the other will supplement your income.

There is no perfect company waiting out there for any of us. Venting is great but I really think a great disservice is done when company after company gets trashed as being all bad to all people becuase that just is not the case.

Well said. I do not doubt that there have been thousands of bad experiences, and I have had my share as well, and they all have had their say, but it sure would be nice for those that have had positive/good experiences to have their say as well without them being hammered just because they did have a positive experience, which keeps most good posts out for the fear of getting ridiculed, called suits, changing the wording, and and and

Run and run far. I had a miserable experience with them. First of all, the mentor I was assigned was rude to say the least, flat out nasty to be perfectly honest. She claims to be a CMT, but has no credentials, as per the professional credentials website.

Inconsistent QA. Most of the time you spend trying to get points back that you lost on audit due to their error.

But, most importantly, don't ever expect an e-mail back. The supervisors are too busy pushing production to even bother giving you the time of day.

OH, and that reminds me, the mentor I had was too busy trying to meet her own production numbers and very often did not have time to answer a question for me.

RUN RUN RUN......I have never been made to feel so bad in all my life.

So glad where I am at....they appreciate people, as they should be appreciated.

I have been working for SoftScript for about 6 months now. I seriously cannot say enought good things about them. This is the best company I have ever worked for and believe me I have worked for several transcription companies. The pay is awesome AND on time. The system is very easy to use. I have noticed a significant decline in my line count with Softscript ever since their blooper that happened on MT week. I dont really understand how that has affected my line count so much but I used to type 23 jobs and get about 1000 lines. Now I type 23 jobs on the same accounts and get 700 lines. Something is wrong with this picture. I am looking for another job, I just feel like I'm wasting my time. ...

I tried applying for that job once, but they said that they wanted "recent" experience and the last time I did pathology was in 2001. And yet, they keep advertising for that position. I've not been working for SS very long and have been doing QA for them. I was wondering if anyone who reads this board is a QA, or has been a QA, for SS and, if so, do they audit you? How strict are the audits? What happens if you don't make the score? I have a friend who used to work for SS a couple years ago and she said that she quit because the audits were "nitpicky."
