Any recent or current TTS employees happy? - KT

I did a search for TTS but only old comments are coming up, 2011 is the newest I could find. Anyone care to comment about this company? I know companies do change sometimes, so I thought I'd try to find some recent feelings on it.

I am a current employee and have been with TTS for about 3Â½ years now. I like the company except for 2 things. The pay is (I think) one of the lowest (if not the lowest) paying company around. I speak generally when I say it's 3.21 cents per line for VR and 7.66 cents per line for straight typing. A lot depends on what account you're on but overall I think that pay rate is pretty accurate. The other thing I don't care for is that it's tough to get scheduled time off. I've been turned down for requests more than I've been accepted. That might not hold true for everyone there so that's to be taken into consideration. Overall, the supervisors are easy to get ahold of and will reply to any e-mail I have sent in a fairly quick manner.

Normally I receive an email on Monday telling me my payroll amount for the pay period but have not received it yet. Didn't know if anyone else had received theirs

Much, much better than at IMedX. As long as I request time off at least a week in advance, I don't have a problem with it. I'm an IC, so make slightly more than employees. I average 300-350 lph, so pay isn't an issue. Awesome account compared to my 75-85% ESL garbage account with IMedX (when I had work, anyway).

There are many things about TTS since 2011, each and every month something on here. Having said that, I did get my statement on Monday about what I made but had I not, I just check myself and know what I make ahead of that being sent out. I also make 300+ lines per hour per day on my account, paid a little more being IC than employee. I have no issue at all taking time off. I give a notice so far in advance and only 1 time was I told time I was asking for not available.

I started at TTS about a year ago, I was really looking for a smaller company who did not send work out of this country. The training was intense but I love editscript and my TL is always available. I am very happy to have work everyday to pay bills around this house.

Just keep your head down, make sure you get your line count, be on time and work your full shift, and don't make any mistakes. You'll be just fine. :)

I have been made an offer recently from Superior Global. I do have Escription experience, although my preference is straight typing, but I am beginning to wonder if we won't all have to make the transition to VR eventually. I personally do prefer straight typing, but have done fairly well in the past with the Escription platform. Just wondering if this is a stable company and if there truly are happy MTs there? ...

Has anyone received their "follow-up call" yet to the survey the employees were asked to fill out over four months ago now? We were again assured about a month ago that this would be made a top priority. Also, is anyone else typing on a radiology account right now at the $1/report rate? Wondering if anyone has been let go because of sending over 8% of work to QA. They expect our line count to be at least 135 an hour (which for the most part is easily done), our accuracy to be 98+ and under 8% to QA. Sometimes this is not possible. I do everything I can to not send to QA (relisten, utilize google, books, relisten, adjust speed/sound, did I mention relisten, relisten, relisten).....but lets face it there are a boatload of dictators that are just impossible. ...

Love reading all the posts on Transcend. For those of you that are happy there, good for you. You must be one of the ones that either "cheat/cherry pick" or your TL/ROM is your best buddy. The region I work in is notorious for people cherry picking and when TL and ROM are told about this, nothing happens.. No wonder some people are happy. I was just curious about what employees thought of Nuance on Glassdoor. You read several US employee opinions and they reflect the morale listed on MTStars. Scroll further down and read the opinions of the transcriptionists from India. What a difference. They are highly satisfied with their jobs and most have been working with Nuance for 6 to 7 years. The US transcriptionists are very sad!! What a difference..... ...

Who in their right mind names a company "Happy Transcriptions?" In this day and age, all I see is "sad" MTs and, in my opinion, if "Happy Transcriptions" is still happy, they can only be messing even more with us poor "sad" MTs. All I can say is I am so "happy" I am so close to being on my way out of MT! ...

I've been at TTS for almost 3 years and I have nothing but positive things to say about TTS. I never have to guess what TTS expects from me, and I do my best to deliver that on a consistent basis. Communication flows freely and efficiently. My team leader and 2 shift leads are EXCELLENT managers in my opinion. Everything I invest in my job comes back to me and then some.
