Has anyone received their "follow-up call" yet to the survey the employees were asked to fill out over four months ago now? We were again assured about a month ago that this would be made a top priority.

Also, is anyone else typing on a radiology account right now at the $1/report rate? Just curious if anyone would be willing to share on average how many reports they are typing in a pay period at this rate.

Wouldn't you be better off going to the managers about the follow-up call if you didn't get one?

Thank you, KSMT. I average 16-18 radiology reports an hour at that rate, so I feel better now. Someone else on my account claims to be typing 40 reports an hour, and I just can't figure out how that would be possible. I always thought I was pretty fast, but that made me feel pretty inferior. And please know that I have been trying to get some questions addressed, just haven't found the "right person" to respond to my specific questions just yet apparently.

We'd all like to know how someone can make $40.00 an hour and maybe we'll apply at KS.

KSMT was kind enough to give me the correct people I should be contacting about the issues I was having with the company's survey (which should be done in private and not violate this board's rules). It had nothing to do with 40 reports an hour. I actually think my co-worker is glorifying the number of reports she types an hour for some reason. Good grief!

No I never received a followup on the survey and never have with any of the surveys.

My $1 per report is straight typing for radiology, not VR. My VR rate is $0.75. sm - RadMT

I prefer editing for rad, but am very happy on my account because it has a lot of work. My VR account for backup is never very busy. I think that VR has hurt radiology more than any other work type.

Radiology went to VR first...no work. Trying to make it look like you can make 20 dollars an hour at KS! They paid $1.25 a page straight typing some 10 years ago to some--not all--then paid only 85 cents and said they never paid $1.25. Then had it where you checked for 8 hours and only had 1-5 reports! Hard to believe anything other than a big fish story...just saying what I experienced. One of many lies. Hard to believe anything. Teach your children not to lie, then work with people.

something is fishy with my post? I should have specified that it is a straight typing radiology account, just as KSMT stated hers is. Typing 20 reports an hour for radiology straight typing is NOT impossible. The co-worker on my account who is claiming to type 40, I am now convinced that she is probably making a false claim. My original question was answered, so if you have nothing else constructive to add to this, go stir the pot somewhere else.

Excuse me--the amounts were for straight typing. People are paid differently--that is a truth. Cherry picking has been since the beginning of the MT. 40 reports, 20 reports, 1 dollar or 80 cents...still evasive. Truth is there is a lot of cheating. All depends also on the page. An entire page of nuclear med or a full-paged mammogram with birads does not compare to a normal chest and then both for a dollar? Just saying nobody is making 20 dollars an hour. Why did you come to this board anyway if you could trust your company and your supervisor for the answer? No need then to snip at those who have been burned before you. Wonder what ever happened to A...she stirred the pot also. Stirring the pot also helps one from getting burned.

That is right. I have had specials that had to be typed that took 45 minutes instead of them using - Now with VR still time consuming

There are a few on my account they go straight for the plain films and skip the CT', MR's, Nuke Med and specials. We get paid the same amount for all of them except for specials.

I was getting $1.25/report, now down to .80/report. - The truth would be nice.

I know that Keystrokes is weeding out those who should have been weeded out a long time ago. I bet you are at the top of their list.

I have seen it happen before, and my lead wouldn't deny it when I asked her. I am glad. I hope they get rid of the ones who don't work when they are supposed to and cherry pick work. I love my job, but I hate having to pick up the slack for those who don't do what they say they will.

Not management now or in the past and have no desire to be management, but I still am smart enough to see what's happening. A lot of us talk to each other, too, and the feeling is that things are getting much better with all of this happening.

It takes more time to edit than to type. - A reality check is needed in this field.

It has come down to slave wages and abuse to the MT's. Huge cuts in pay and the lack of benefits or no benefits. I wonder how many reports the owners could do in an hour and what their paychecks would look like trying to earn a living as an MT.

I haven't had a followup on the survey, but I would have to say that I love Keystrokes. They are very honest and have been since I started working with them. I would not change a thing .... Love it! Be happy for your job! There are A LOT of people out there without a job and starving .... be thankful!

Unfortunately money is still the root of all evil. I loved my job, always did. What goes on behind the curtain surely is evil. Us oldies had very good years, so just listen to wisdom as if it continues, I guarantee it will happen to you too. And don't change a thing...because the pay never changed either to the cost of living, in fact it went down. There are those who make it happen, those who let it happen and those who asked what happened. You say your company is honest...I can challenge that one.

Wondering if anyone has been let go because of sending over 8% of work to QA. They expect our line count to be at least 135 an hour (which for the most part is easily done), our accuracy to be 98+ and under 8% to QA. Sometimes this is not possible. I do everything I can to not send to QA (relisten, utilize google, books, relisten, adjust speed/sound, did I mention relisten, relisten, relisten).....but lets face it there are a boatload of dictators that are just impossible. ...

I was just curious about what employees thought of Nuance on Glassdoor. You read several US employee opinions and they reflect the morale listed on MTStars. Scroll further down and read the opinions of the transcriptionists from India. What a difference. They are highly satisfied with their jobs and most have been working with Nuance for 6 to 7 years. The US transcriptionists are very sad!! What a difference..... ...
