Because I was just certified as a coder and hired.
Everything you guys are saying about coders and tumor registrars is true. But the jobs for TR's are limited. The job opportunities for coders is endless. The thing is, coding is hard. It makes MT look like a walk in the park. Being certified for coding has gotten me a couple job interviews I wouldn't have gotten otherwise. I highly recommend the transition.
