then he would really lose a lot of people. It was all hinted at, but as far as I know, nothing has happened yet and may never. One cannot be surprised though. Medical transcription services have been fiddling with all aspects of pay over the last decade to retain more profit: speech recognition, paying only for verbatim characters, reducing two spaces after a period to one, docking pay for what someone somewhere considers a critical error, promising two-hour turnaround times on everything, and the penultimate blow -- expecting 99.9% perfection, which is ridiculous because cell phones distort sound when it is recorded.
