nursing home receptionist. I have a medical secretarial associate degree and did medical secretarial work for about 15 years before I transitioned to medical transcription. I worked on-site for about 15 years, then later transitioned to working from home. Luckily, I had secretarial skills and experience dealing with people directly when my hospital job was outsourced. I hated working for MTSOs, so glad I'm retired now and only working part-time to supplement my SS.
