where I came from, the hospitals I left. When the transcription dept got outsourced or cut down or whatever, the MTs were apparently transitioned into positions within the hospital.
Several girls went into the registry and none of them had degrees or squat.
I'm assuming those girls were grandfathered in, trained while they worked. I don't know much else about it, I've been gone for quite a while.
