and I'm very surprised by that. We were actually told in person (on a conference call) about a week ahead of time and received our last paycheck very, very quickly. Believe it or not, even though I had a week's lead in knowing, I too was blindsided. It's never a nice feeling being laid off. Sorry that happened to you, but you still can collect unemployment. You should file. Even if it is a small amount, it is better than nothing.
