If high min. wage was the reason - for Calif layoffs

Posted: Sep 6th, 2016 - 7:44 pm In Reply to: I'm in Washington, where in November we are - voting on a $13.50 min. wage

Then they would have laid off residents of Massachusetts because right now their min. wage is the same as California. Nuance is based in Mass. Also, they would have laid off anyone making over min. wage period. I think the reason they terminated Calif. people is because of Calif. labor laws. A lot of companies leave Calif. because of them. In Calif, you work 2 mins past 8 hours, they have to pay OT. Many states' overtime is 40 hours in a week, but Calif. is strict.
