I like you! Or more accurately, I like your style. I am a retired MT/MTSO and lemme tell ya, I NEVER treated MTs the way some of these companies/monsters/squids do. We paid 11 cpl back in the day (the nineties before the squid ate our lunch), plus gave each person a check for $500 each Christmas/Hanukkah (I'm Jewish) so they could buy themselves a gift. We were a small company, did a lot of work for state-owned hospitals, etc. I would not have dreamed of treating MTs the way some of you folks are treated. Please, please, please, folks, don't think all MTSOs are, um, well, it rhymes with "riches." I'm sure that the folks at the monster companies drive around in Bentleys (or at least a Caddy or a Town Car); I'm perfectly happy with a secondhand van, or on some days, even take (gasp!) the bus, even though our public transit leaves much to be desired here. Anyway, Linda, I think you have spunk--and class. And you are right--let them wait for you for a change. Too many of the big companies think they should just snap their fingers at you and you will do what they want. Oh, how I hate the corporate world!
