IC worker - Total ripoff

I remember thinking working as an IC was the ideal situation, but it wasn't, and I was making less and less money and as far as working when you want, you are chained to your computer, because you have to grab the work when it is available.

I didn't find the dream job that was posted, but I did get out and have a nice part time position, making decent money. I feel for anyone who feels this is all they can do for various reasons, but you are probably making yourself sick or a victim thinking that way. I know, I was there at one point, until I felt forced to get out. My biggest regret, I didn't do it 20 years ago!
