Thanks for your input. I'm not a coder, I work for a company with the contract for transcription at a hospital and I do QA on that account, as I said in my post. We also do not use voice wreck, it's straight transcription. We're with an "old school" hospital, and thank God for that! What I was trying to determine from a coder is what they feel is their level of responsibility in regard to incidentally finding errors in the charts that may have nothing to do with their coding.
