Huh? When did oriental become derogatory. First off, "the orient" refers to the geographical area of East Asia. There is also a West Asia, SW Asia, etc. Oriental is just a word derived from East...
So, leave the silly thing alone and stop overthinking all this so-called PC stuff. It's just nonsense.
Oriental is not a slang term like some words (which I am not going to type) are to describe people of certain color or regions.
