Well, 18 year employee here. (PT for 10 years)  came from TL which was GREAT company and then MQ bought out.   I have very chronic illnesses that I absolutely cannot go and get an outside the home job.   I, as stated, don't have a real problem with FTR, because frankly all of us MT/MEs who have done this job for any length of time should be doing our work correctly anyway.  This is something I have always prided myself on, and yes it reflected my production rate (even though I am fast) because I took extra special time researching.  I too have spent umpteen bucks on literature and software that would help my career, out of my pocket.   Now today, and I suppose all of us got this sweet email from our CCMs.  Your QA submission rate for period ending 2/28/2010 was blah blah blah.   Please be aware that as of April 1 blah blah blah.   Okay, here is what really bites me....   Since getting notice of the upcoming FTR, I DO NOT send anything to QA.   Before every QA marker placed in a document was sent to QA, even though we did not ask it to be.   Now, I like the fact we can send the document to client, because that is how it was originally with TL anyhow.   If we had more than 3 blanks, then we were to send to QA, if not send directly to the client.   I have never, in the 18+ years with this company been marked down or called on that my quality was bad.   In fact, commended for it (not monetarily mind you).  I don't bark loudly that I have not received a raise in over 10 years, only pay cuts.   I have only 4 years to go for early retirement with SS.   My health is very bad, and now getting worse.   I don't have bennies because they were taken away when I had to go to PT because of my kidney disease.  My hubby is already on disability, and it took him 3 years with NO PAY to even get it.   Do you think I can go through that, when people are not getting disability who really need it.   What a crock.  I get so mad that becuase I do work and have since I was 14, I cannot get Social Services help.  Our last baby graduated June 2009, we are empty nesters.  NO children, so cannot get food stamps, a free cell phone, rent paid, Medicaid, and the list goes on.   I suppose if I just quit then maybe so, but I don't want to be a nonproductive, tax paying citizen of this country.   I love my God, I used to love my job at MQ and have been loyal even to this day, but now I am made to feel, as all of us are here in US we are but nothing and stupid.   I saw those reports in Repository.  THEY ARE HORRENDOUS!!!   How can anyone who claims to be a conscientious MT let these type of flagrant errors through is an atrocity.    I will continue to have pride in my work and think of our client/patients first always.   So, go ahead MQ  finish me off....  It is almost there.  almost there....

I am so sorry you and the rest of us have had to go through this with MQ. I really do know how you feel. Fortunately for me I turned 62 on Sunday, and so I CAN file for early retirement, but if I do, then I will lose out on $250 a month until I die. I too should be able to get SSI, but like you, I do not have those years that it takes to get on it. Please know that I care about you and your troubles, and I pray for all MQ MTs who are having trouble (which is probably most, but not all, of us) with our jobs and the stress we are under. No one really knows how much stress until they have been through it. I also pray for those MQ people who run MQ that their hearts will be softened towards those of us who make it possible for them to make all those big bucks, if that is possible. I don't know what is going to happen to me, but really anything has to be better than all this stress.

I feel bad for all of us. I don't know what i'm going to do either. I have been with the company since they were called Transcriptions Limited. I have been loyal, low QA submissions, high scores, always work schedule, rolled with the constant change and disorganization, and now I'm disabled. There is a lot of red tape to go through, they make it so difficult to get compensation, let me tell you. I have 25 years until retirement, so I have to retrain for another career. I'm hoping something will go in my favor as I want to work, I'm not one to soak off the system. But when someone needs the system who has been paying into it so long, why is it such a headache? I have been working since age 14 also, my mother instilled an excellent work ethic in me and i'm proud of that, but where is the help when I work my fingers to the bone and can no longer do it? I'm lucky I have a husband who works. He is entry level and we cannot live on his income alone,but listen to his bennies: Three week vacations every year, 14 sick days, all recognized holidays off with pay, overtime is paid time and a half, 100% coverage with low monthly premiums for medical, and one personal "holiday" day a year. He asked his boss how in the heck they provide so many days off for their employees, and his boss says this: "We know how hard you work, and when you have days off, we want you to enjoy them, and get away, so when you come back, your fresh and productive." I'm so jealous, but I also know my God will provide for me in time, I have to hold onto that. I feel for all of us.

but I have gotten to where I am jealous that he doesn't have to work as hard, makes a lot more money, gets lots of vacation, real sick days, and personal days. Isn't that awful to be jealous of his GOOD fortune!

my hubby also gets 5 weeks of vacation a year, plus holidays paid, sick days, lunch twice a month, huge x-mas bonus and summer bonus ($1500 each!), and his boss actually compliments him!

I also remember the "good ole days" when it was TL. At 2+ dollars a page and 0.07 for a GROSS line including headers and footers. Then I made a decent living. Went back to work for them once after a few years, and left soon after when the crappola started hitting the fan and all the good people left/were forced to quit. Then, all blanks had to be checked, period. When I did their editing/QA, I got disgusted later on at the quality and quit period (but not until I got them to fix my own medical record - news to me I'd had a mastectomy :-)

So 3 points off...short report....and, course failed, 88%......I'm doomed for the next 2 weeks.  Probably now way to get up over 99% at this point.   Anyway, so I went back to check on it (I usually don't bother), I was going to try to relisten (still can't for whatever reason)...but what I DID see was that the report was sent to the client with the apparently incorrect value of 0.5 still on the report.   So they find the error but don't correct it?   ...

Awww after teleconference with the bigwigs from the Q, telling us how smart and brilliant we are and they trust our ability to make good decisions, they still insist our QA rates will be low enough and we will not get dinged for QA submissions over the 5%, because we will find everything we need in the "reports they are allowing us to see".  Yeah right, and everything I touch is going to turn to gold.  Are they serious??  I just figure lots of blanks going to clients.  No one ...

i am new inductee in to MModal with 15-days expirence til now.. Can someone tel me what is that thing in DocQmanage in statstics that states in LC , which says " QA submission" "YES" and "NO"... what exactely is that.. does that affect the final paycheck.. If it shows " NO" then do i get paid more for that file? or vice-versa?          ...

E-mail from boss stating we needed to get this down as a team.  How about putting us back on our primaries?  With having to do multiple accounts, it is hard to remember all the "facts" each account commands.   When working  OT, I never got any familiar accounts.  Go figure.   Wouldn't it have  been wiser to let me work on accounts that I knew and was faster on?  I know, this is unrealistic thinking/reasoning. Question On 5% And 10% Submission Rate

Okay, if I am reading the e-mail from corporate correctly, that means that if a MT produces 5,000 lines a week, then the QA submission rate should be no more than 10% of lines which would be 500 QA markers or at 5% that would be no more than 250 QA markers.  Is that correct, or am I reading it incorrectly?  Or is my math incorrect?  ...

On the 3 horrible reports that I had to submit to QA yesterday because of the 3-blank rule, thus losing 3 cpl probably, QA had no more luck filling in the blanks than I and sent them through with 5-10 blanks.  That makes me so mad -- not at QA, just in general that I get penalized financially when it was the DOCTOR'S FAULT AND THE PICKY FACILITY'S "RULE."  ...

First Time Right - CPL Being Decreased If The QA Submission Rate Is Too High

I've had time to think about this whole First Time Right plan.   I've seen a lot in my 32 yrs in the business and in my humble opinion, I think it will be okay except for the part about CPL being decreased if the QA submission rate is too high.  There must be an alternative other than taking away hard earned pay.  Anyone else agree? ...

Things have continued to decline over the past 3 years I worked for MQ.  After the 5% submission rule went into effect, I decided  I needed a new career, so at the age of 46, back to school for me.  I think this might be an important step for many MQ'ers since obviously the rate of pay will continue to decrease and the work demand increase.  The fact they do not appreciate our ability to produce top-rated work and are happy with mediocre says a lot for a company tha ...

that are sent to QA, the ones you are forced to send due to the client wanting all reports QA's, a certain dictator, etc....I was just reading in the "Rewards" Plan that these reports are NOT counted towards our QA submission . I have read posts here where MTs were frustrated because they thought they WERE.  Please read (I think page 10 but not sure) where it says they are NOT.  If you feel yours are counting against you, copy and paste the paragraph and send it to your CCM.  ...

Why are we still having to jump through hoops -- highlight and skip marker for more than 5 words, etc.  - for the ASR?  Hasn't it had time to "learn" all it is going to learn?  It would be so much easier just to delete the crap we can't use and have to re-do instead of all the red skip markers, etc.  Anybody been told that we can just DELETE and not SKIP yet? ...
