schedule--compliance? - fjust asking

Has anyone on here ever been written up for not following schedule? I know its important to follow but they out of the blue last summer called me up and said I had to change my schedule and I now have more evening hours. I was already working on Sundays but anyway I used to work 2 hours in the eveings and would somehow like to get back to that instead of 4 hours. CCm in my group sent out an email a short while ago stating if she found out people were not working schedule we would be written up although the problem seemed like people were calling off and not letting her know. I have asked several times and the answer is always no it can't be changed.

[ In Reply To ..]I worked for many years for this company on a split shift where I would split evenly between morning hours and evening hours. I'd work every day, even on weekends (I'm part-time)a few hours.
Then the work dried up and we were told by our CCM that if we didn't change our hours there would be some vague action against us (not her words, though). Well, I wish I would have waited to see what that action would have been because I have had to switch to essentially second-shift hours and it's hard and I'm usually so tired by the end of the day after dealing with the kids, etc. It was so nice when the kids would be in school and I could get up and do my shift in the morning and then only have to worry about doing a couple of hours at night. Now I have to do it ALL at night and sometimes I just can't deal with it, especially when I have to get up at 6 am with the kids.
I have found myself nodding off at 10 o'clock at night at my computer. It's so frustrating. I'm no spring chicken anymore and I have thyroid problems and it's no easy thing to keep up these hours. Consequently, I've been missing hours on my time sheet lately and am waiting for the axe to fall. Don't know what else to do.

they told me there would be no work for me if I did not move my hours. I guess they felt the need to scare me. I too find myself nodding off around 10 and then to top it off I go to bed so late because i needed to wind down and then have a hard time getting up. I do have other things going on in my family that need some attention and cannot do both working this way. This time around they caught me off guard. I have always been able to get around it all before. LOL.

If anyone ever calls me out the blue and tells me my hours have to be changed, they will be sadly mistaken because I DO NOT work past 8pm.
This is the schedule I started with and this is the schedule I will be sticking too.
You should have made up something - told them you couldn't change because you had a part time job at Wendy's or something and could only work what you signed on for. There is a way around that type of stuff.

I guess since statutory I was used to working splits and especially since they used to pay differential after 6 p.m. I always put in 2 or 3 hours after 6. I am full time. I just do not like working 4 hours at night and getting done so late espcially since they took the diff away. I too like the above poster find myself drifting off which is not good. the work in my area was getting dried up last summer and there was a need to move me to another group after I had "given" in 2 years earlier to working on Sundays in order to battle the no work situation. So in order to make the move they said they would not take any early morning hours. I guess I just wasn't prepared for the unexpected phone call regarding this. Also have some family things going on which just 1 family member has to deal with and would like to offer more help where I can.

Hmmm..Have you tried explaining to your CCM that you have this family situation going on? See if you and her could work out some sort of an arrangement or come to some sort of agreement, maybe go back to split shifts?
Maybe she is not understanding the seriousness of your situation.

[ In Reply To ..]I started way back over 10 years ago on an account I grew to love. Then the Q acquired us. I always worked this job plus 1 to 2 more depending on the time of year/need of my employers. After so many pay cuts I went to part time MT, taking on more hours with another employer. I was very fortunate to have had the same CCM for years, and she worked with me. Things got crappier and crappier, and finally my account of all those years went to EPIC, and knew was was ahead. Fortunately, I had been offered FT with my other employers. I seriously don't know what I would have done if they messed with my schedule. Those PT jobs were the only thing that allowed me to keep my head above water. Good luck to you all.

My company is making all ICs draw up their own to detailed HIPAA compliance processes and security protocols, provide proof of HIPAA and insurance compliance and have a signed Business Associate Agreement in place.
