Schedule Compliance - Performance Management

So, our CCM sent out an e-mail that she has received a directive that if we are not working our exact schedule, we are going to receive an oral warning and then be performance managed.
If there is no work, we have to put in a Q-Care ticket or we will be performance managed.
Remember when we first were pitched the idea of working at home? One of the points was that we could be flexible in our schedule. Now we are just slave wages on an assembly line with no deviation in schedule. Just another way to squeeze us out, I guess.
I applied for a job in a local hospital today, working in Medical Records doing chart analysis. Pay is lower, but at least I won't have to work production and I will actually get holidays off.

[ In Reply To ..]my normal hours for longer than I can remember. Now I am going to get blasted because someone will think I think I'm special. I don't think that so don't go there please! Just trying to make a point that MQ does nothing the same and it depends on your manager and his/her manager and what they are complaining about at any 1 particular point in time. They are so unorganized it is pitiful! I have not gotten that email and probably won't.

I have worked with MQ for many years and have had numerous (too many to remember)bosses in that period and they were all so different. I usually take 2 vacations a year and am usually off 10 days total in a year and I am PT with no PTO and this year she told me absolutely could not have more than 5 excused days. When I questioned her why I have always been able to get 10 a year her answer was well now it is easier to keep up with and manage now. I really have started to hate this job and am actively working on getting out. I almost quit a few weeks ago and my husband told me to go ahead, but the extra money helps with the bills :(
I was approached yesterday about working for a clinic and they said they would set up the equipment for me at home and as soon as I hear all the details, I will probably be gone from MQ.....sad because I used to really love this job.

[ In Reply To ..]I got that email too. I agree that each CCM has their own special "style." I have had a few nice ones, and one of them even let me work extra hours each week and "bank" them so when I went on vacation I could use those extra hours. Of course, I didn't get paid for those hours but I didn't have enough PTO time to use on my vacation and she just put those extra hours on my time sheet and made it look like I worked those hours that week. Kind of shady, but at the time I didn't care!
My CCM now is having the squeeze put on her by her superiors, I can tell. She has lasted pretty long, they usually don't last this long! Time will tell, I guess.

No matter what THEY do, apply for the job in the - local hospital.

[ In Reply To ..]The local hospital is very dinky and the staff is very clique-ish. They usually have someone in mind for the job and just have to post it to be legal. But I applied anyway and hope to be out of MQ soon!!

Wondered why they posted it at all, but I guess they have to. But good luck to you --- I am always so excited when anybody gets a chance to get out of here.

My company is making all ICs draw up their own to detailed HIPAA compliance processes and security protocols, provide proof of HIPAA and insurance compliance and have a signed Business Associate Agreement in place.
