Has anyone tried a stand-up desk or just tried to stand while typing? With all the stuff in the news lately about how dangerous sitting is, I would like to give it a try. Just wondering if anyone has been doing it and has any tips. It seems like it would be a little hard on the legs when trying to stand and use the footpedal. I have seen some new treadmill desks that look awesome, but obviously wouldn't work for us using footpedals. ...

When I started out MT years back I transcribed for the local hospital ER docs group. I loved it, but moved on when work dwindled down. A friend works for the group of hospitals in management so I asked who was doing the ER transcription now, I wanted to apply. I was a patient in a local ER yesterday and had the nicest British physician. I was directly across from central and was able to hear this physician dictate. Clear, concise, perfect speed, a dream to transcribe. The downside is the hospital uses Epic only - no editing by human hands (and ears) at all.
