Guess we will have to wait and see. Tuesday 3 hours of work because of doctor's appointment and could not make up time if there was any work. Today second job, cannot make up time. All morning no work. Will have to work more hours at second job I guess. Retail, not guaranteed hours but better than what I am getting at MModal.

Absolutely nothing again so far today. What is coming in middle of March that will make this better?

My TSM said that it is because of people not going to the hospital due to new deductibles to meet. She also said that they shifted work offshore, and that they are overstaffed but moving workers. I guess they have to keep coming up with more and more excuses.

Don't expect much if any work for 2 weeks. Just like a few months ago when they reorganized and there was no work. I guess i can try to get unemployment for 2 weeks...and more if needed

No, just figured it was because of "realigning" accounts. Don't believe anything they say anyway. When I switched from Cornerstone to Fluency because of no work as hospital shipped its transcription to India, CSM said I was on book of business that was very busy and would not have OOW situations--guess she did not tell the truth.

On the timesheets they presented today approval they didn't have the QA payroll bonus for the past week. Don't I remember they told us everyone was getting it for the first quarter...which would have technically ended 3/31? I would like to know how anyone who graduates from Career Step and can not find a job for a MT...I am a graduate of March this year however not with honors. But still every job I have read you need three years experience or more. Very upset all the money put out for extensions, etc and it was a waste of life and time.. Could someone explain the reason we went from working as ICs with our own accounts to MTSOs who pay half that? Was it the cost of EMR software? If this is the case, why do we depend on MTSO's for work when we can download freeware that enables transfer of sound files and Internet transfer of files back to the doctor? I sent my resume in and just heard back last week asking if I was still interested. She sent a brief little word document with some account specs, cpl and paydates--no contract, HIPAA agreement, etc. I did three voice files the first day. I personally know someone who works as a middle manager for Nuance, makes well over 50,000 and has had constant raises since being hired. From what she tells me she is very effective, but even the other middle managers who are not at all effective with huge make up costs and teams who fail audits constantly do not get terminated. I am not up on my business particulars, but when this "merge" - ahem - took place March 1 (I think) of last year, could all contracts have been resigned for a specific period of time, say 1 year, or did contracts just continue as is until they were up, more than likely ending on various dates? I'm getting so tired of having a report or two, then NJA, then while waiting another report comes, then NJA, etc., etc., early in my shift. Sure, we have been encouraged to just check back later on and work then. I really don't know why they suggest or even allow this to happen.
